I have came to Mumbai at the end of 2002.
Being a typical Tamil Guy I wasn’t knowing even a word properly in Hindi…

in TN ppl use to make fun of ‘Hindi’ especially the word ‘HOTA HAI’…(tamil ppl can guess what it is…lol)

In the begining I was staying with a tamil friend in BHANDUP later I had to shift to Antop Hills…My office was in FORT so it was little closer than bhandup.I use to get lot of free time since the traveling time was less.I never watch TV and I had no friends since place is new…so Life was very lonely & Painful…Music was the only thing helping me out… Since i dont know Hindi I never watch Hindi films too …at that time I was knowing only 2 film starts sharukhkhan & amitap bachan…not much familier with any Hindi songs too…except few like “tuje dekha to”
I guess it was during summer… one sultry evening…. I was waiting for my bus at KOLIWADA (GTB NAGAR) Bus Stop.There used to be lot of small petti shops small bars & restaurants music shops etc…etc…I was looking for my bus and getting irritated since the time flying and there was no sign for my bus….at a fraction i could feel my senses are sharpened towards a voice… a song…i was stand still and just listening to it sharply…& i didnt think about my bus or anything else…only at that mesmerizing voice…I could not catch the words properly but remembered the tune….and the same was getting repeated continuously in my mind… even in dreams…next day morning in office I enquired about the song by humming the tune. People smiled at me and told me the Song is ‘CHEHRA HAI YA…’ and the singer is ‘KISHORE KUMAR…’
The same day evening I have purchased minimum 5 huge MP3 song collections of Kishore.
There after Kishore Kumar become my room mate….
I am so happy to post this song here…
and this is my last song as a PRO USER of MUZIBOO
I have no Idea to buy another one year subscription since there was some bitter experiences between the web owners and me actually WE
However hereafter only my ID will remain here… Asusual I will come and listen you people for sure…rest will be decided later…

The introduction to Kishore in 2002 and to render this gem in 2011. Who would have thought…you breathe life into his rendition once again, I mean given the background you narragted.
I was astounded with your earlier Kishoreda rendition…and this one ….enna sola…glad his songs and voice was with you….those moments are with every one in some way or the other but thanks to those moments it churned another Kishore fan and not just a passive one…
Beautiful….sorry to write up so much just felt so. Lovely singing, lovely voice. Do post songs as a non-pro member too….Please

Nice interesting write up and introduction to this wonderful song…nicely rendered by you…liked it. I also had the same experience with kishoreda, once I heard the song …ye jo mohabat hai …when i was 9 yrs old and became a fan. BTW I lived in Bhandup for almost 25 years before coming here :-)
