Maanas Maine Varoo - Chemmeen (cover)
Maanas Maine Varoo - Chemme... Lyrics & Chords
My Sincere thanks to my friend PREM who introduced me to this song this week and I was simply amazed….
The song has very soft, magical words from the God’s only country and heavenely music of the Great SalilDa with Manna Da’s splendid voice.
I do not know Malayalam but still have given a try. Please excuse me for pronunciation glitches. Wording mein kuchh Gadbad kee ho to mujhe mat maarna :)
If this attempt is likable then I’d like to dedicate to all my dear Keralite friends.
For those (like me) who do not understand Malayalam: It’s a sad song sung in sorrow of separation. I have a general idea of the meaning of Mukhada and antaras but do not have word to word translation. I’d add it here once I get it.
Please let me have your comments. Those really help.
Singer: Manna Dey
MD: Salil Chowdhuri
Lyrics: Vayalar

That was a real quick response, my Dear HK……
Muziboo is such a lovely place….
The common language here is Music and people do sing and upload for their enjoyment. Normally you get constructive feedback and encouragement from the like minds.
Most of the constructive comments on my Marathi uploads are from my Keralite Muzibian friends. So, that’s where the courage comes from!
Thanks a lot for your encouragement and feedback on this one and, yes, also for your kind ratings!
Enjoy Music!

Thanks for the feedback Paras ji. I am glad you liked my attempt.
The Music between antaras are the tunes of songs we know in Hindi.
As you have rightly pointed out the alaap spans across three octaves. Coupled with all those modulations, it’s not an easy song. Hats off to Manna Da for the ease with which he has sung it….
Enjoy Music!

Smiling at Paras reference to my mallu phrases….lol
Adwait Bhai ….this was really a brave attempt at this classic. The most diff part of this song is the beginning alaap……you were almost there:-) Your diction was not bad at all except for a few words which only a true malayalee can twist the tongue. Singing was also very good, considering the difficulty of the composition ….you sang it very soulfully…I feel ashamed that I havent yet attempted a malyalam song on muziboo….
5/5 from me ….dost ……vallare nallathu :-)

Wow, Adwait! That was a very commendable effort! Loved places like “kaLi koottukaarane”….such wonderful expressions! You have a beautiful, unique voice which you must try and develop even further.
Felt some pitching issues in the beginning. Your enthusiasm and love for music is clearly evident by the choice of a song in an unfamiliar language. :)

Very different and nice piece of work. Not familiar with the original but apparently this one tests your range. It goes very low at places and you did really well in those portions.

Adwait ji aap ko kitni bhashayein aati hain? Kya gaaya hai aapne manna Da ji ke is gaane ko apne voice mein. Muje aapse manna Da ka Ae mere pyare watan gaana sun na hai. Harshan ji ke saat mein bhi sahmat hoon. I also never tried to attempt a malayalam song.

Hello Adwait Sir! :)
First of all HATS OFF to you for singing this song, cos this is definitely not at all an easy one to deliver! :) Commendable job on this one! I just loved it absolutely!
A special note of thanks for dedicating this to all the keralites here! :D really happy for that! I could not make out any diction issues to be honest with you, cos I was all so lost in the feel you brought about! These are very honest words from the bottom of my heart! Felt goose bumps when you sand “Adangugillomane…….” WOW wht a feel!
Loved it sir! OBVIOUSLY goes to my favs!
Keep coming up with more classics! All the very best!

Sojan Bhai: Mujhe bas suronki bhashaa thodi-thodisi samaz aati hai :) Jokes apart, I found that our Indian languages do have a common thread- named emotions. Once you get a general idea of the emotion of song and the key words within the lyrics, you get going. I am sure there must be loads of mistakes in my presentation but you guys are so kind to accept me with all that! Thanks, my dear friend.
Harshan Bhai: Thanks once again!
Sushanth Bhai: Thanks. I too feel at top of the world (a similar feeling when I worked near Idukki and many times used to stand at an edge of a tallest cliff overlooking valleys of Lower Periyar….)when a keralite friend responds to this song :D

Hi Adwait
I believe this is my first comment on muziboo. And I must admit that u’ve sung it soulfully and fabulously. Yes, and about the diction probs, nothing much to worry cause Manna Da too sung it the same dict. I can’t ever imagine to sing this one. So itself I won’t dare to sing it :D. 5/5
Best regards
