Jalte Hain Jiske Liye - Cover By Adwait Ranade
Jalte Hain Jiske Liye - Cov... Lyrics & Chords
Original Singer; Talat Mehmood
Music Director: S.D. Burman
Lyrics: Majrooh Sultanpuri
Film: Sujata
This is one of the softest song from hindi Movies. Here is my humble attempt. I have not tried to deliberately use vibratos for the entire song but experimented with tiny twists and Murkis to get that Talatsahab effect. Hope it’s likable.

wow adwait bhai, only you can do justice to a song like this. it is such a tough song, that there is still some room for improvement. the initial humming can be improved (at the fag end). Zulf sounds like julf.

Thanks a lot my Dear Friends, for the Genuine f/b’s.
@ Srinibhai, Akhila, Saroj, Shailender and Harshan bhai: Thank you for pressing “LIKE” button and also for adding this experimental upload to your favorites. I am glad you found it enjoyable.
@ Harish, Vishak, Thinkal Bhai, Ramesh and Sudha: Thanks for registering your appreciation by pressing the LIKE button :)
Theagraj Bhai: Welcome to my page. Thanks for the f/b :)
@ Harishbhai: As I wrote in the introduction, I experimented in this song. i avoided copying a xerox of the original and started it right from the humming. Looks like the variation was not appealling enough. About “Zulf” I will need second opinion becuase i feel it’s correct. let’s see what others think.
@ Vishak: Shakyness is all about some songs :)
Glad you liked this one and thanks for the pointer.
@Sudha: Of course it’s one take (ninth or tenth attempt, probably). No compromises at that :) You are the only one apart from Harshan bhai who picked up the expressive place like “awaaraa”. I am very happy it has not gone unnoticed. Thanks:)
@ Harshan Bhai: It’s really hard not to copy Talat sahab, especially when you do have a tendency towards vibratos/ tremolos. I hope my experiment to stop uncontrolled vibratos to seep-in has worked as i tried to use the tiny murkis to get the Talatji effect.

adwait, pardon me, i didn’t understand ‘avoided copying a xerox of the original’. talat’s version is the original. which is the xerox you avoided copying? Yes, taking a 3rd person opinion on Zulf/Julf will be interesting.

Adwait, This one of those songs of Talat which endorses his title as Melody King. Probably the first time in Indian films that an entire song is sung across the telephone.
You have sung this brilliantly maintaining its sweet nuances-Congrats!

Adwait Bhai !! I completely enjoyed this rare gem, loved the expressions and the control. BIG THUMBS UP and FAV.
Over the Zulf Debate, I would like to add my 2 cents, though It is sounding a little closer to Julf (actualy Jhulf like in Jhala), however understandably it is because of Marathi influence. Having spent so much time with my marathi friends, I have often noticed this… I may be wrong, so please correct me if so…
but it did not at all take away beauty of the wonderful effort (In the sense if someone does not read comments, it may not be noticed— ONE THING I ALWAYS WISHED FROM MUZIBOO APP, to show previous comments/likes/favs only after someone written his/her own & should hide if someone deletes his views and no second attempt to comment).
Thanks

Dear Adwait bhai-somehow I missed out this one. Going by the debate, now I have listened to it twice. My observations:
If you do not sing it like talat saab, the whole beauty of the song will vanish. You sounded so close to him…. Congrats.
Amazing control and thehraao in your singing throughout.
Liked it and favourited

Dada, Great pick and lovely executed. Talat Sahab is one singer who did not get much recognition with other greats around like Rafi Saab and KK’da but he was a master in his own way. Your innate voice is very close to his and the modulations and interpretation came very close to the original. At the same time, I could see Adwait all over the song in your own style which appealed me a lot.
Aawaara was amazing and so much with feelings. Looks like Zulf created a bit of interest here but it was neither correct nor wrong. It was somewhere in between. Loved it, directly to my favs:)
