The mixing was nice by Meeraji and also the harmonies. The initial slokam part was neatly done. Both Muraliji and you are good singers. But this rendition was a let down for me. I don’t know leaps and bounds to appreciate the technicality about the song. But after listening to the song it gave me a dull feeling where as it should have left me in a calm mood. I felt a definite lack of energy. Maybe because my expectation is high from both of you.

Appreciate the attempt altogether.

Well sung here… However, I would say there was some lack of energy throughout the song… I understand that the song is such a kind… However, I feel a little more energy would have done wonders, as you guys are excellent singers and can communicate the feel of the song fabulously! Nice rendition. I would like to throw light on the following.

Notes: Notes were delivered to perfection mostly except a few places. Nevertheless superb pertaining to the notes-deliverance.

Expressions: Expressions of Murali were awesome. I personally feel Ramya can improvise in this aspect.

Attitude & Energy: I felt Murali could have sung with energy, lagging at some places. But was awesome mostly. Ramya couldnt be listened properly and I confine this comment only to the energy aspect of this cover. Think that might be the problem with her recording.

Mixing: Mixing was top-notch as usual. Thanks to Meera for having a hand on this and helping them out.

Vamsi: Nice cover and ur part in this cover is inevitable as the sloka was delivered perfectly. Spashtamaa irundhadhu. Kudos. IR always insists on pronunciation and u have done justice.

Would like to mark 5/5 4 times as 4 of u worked together in this awesome rendition. :-) Muziboo doesnt allow me to do so. Keep up the spirit and give us more.

sorry I mis read the pre amble…….the vocals sound heavily fxed,especially Murali’s….and both your voices sound outside the rest of the arrangement……which is somewhat an unusual way of mixing,for lead vocals.

This song is one of those very few IR songs that are not my favs LOL! And me not being a big fan of Jensi doesn’t help much either!

The most striking part of this song was the chorus- enjoyed it so much! :)

Murali, Obviously a great job man! one or two spots for example “thenmalarae” @ 2:04 could have been done better. Your natural voice is so strong and unique…… Are you trying to modulate at these spots? I am not sure, but I think (NOT SURE) I have seen this in your other songs too.

Very good job! You did a great job in bringing in the same feel. Some ending sangathis could have been done better. I should say, I like your version than Jensi’s…. I always like that nasal thingy in your voice. But, I missed that here. Probably Meera took that out to enhance some other effects!

Finally, Kudos to Meera and Vamsi for recreating the original color of the song!

Ever green melody and a good pick Ramya & Murali

Ramya, vocals could be even more bolder, i feel you hesitate a bit to show up your actual voice. Just be bold with the throw and definitely it will give you a better result.

Lovely chorus portions Meera, never felt like, it was done, i thought it was on the track itself. So perfect. and Vamsi, IMO more throw needed.

Murali, definitely it sounds very different to listen this song in your voice. Raja was very plain and your embedded sagathis gave a different flavour to the song.

Ramya and Murali, nicely sung. Ramya, the oh… ho was very sweet and enjoyable. Murali, the added sangatis were a nice attempt though I am used to the plain ones by IR for this song.
Ramya and Meera: Harmonies were very good. Esp the variation in the last one – different from the original. Nice.
Vamsi: Well done.

IMO, could have sung it with some “azhutham”.

Both the male and female singers voice was little suppressed with reverb effect, else the duet was good. As a lay man about music not much from me. “learning is forever sharing makes it stronger” so no issue enjoi with more sogns as duets!

Was browsing through backlog of muziboo emails and found this song post and realized I had overlooked this post. Glad I got to it now.

One of my favorites and a beautiful rendition by you both. Ramya, one of your best songs in my opinion – very good delivery and nice flow. Murali, very pleasant sounding vocals.

From the mixing standpoint, I felt presence of vocals could be raised a bit.

More such classics please.
