On the whole a nice one indeed!. Track quality not that great but you guys did well to make it up.

Ramya: Voice quality is very good but your expression is not conveying “happy” in this song … why? You sound very stoic in this song which is not the right mood at all. Your singing was fine but what a difference it would have made if you had sung it with happy energy!.

Kumaran: Good voice too and nicely rendered on the whole. Your “Gu-ru” in Guruvayurappa is not exactly sitting where it should. The “Gu-ru-va” is actually “Ga-Ma-Pa” in swarams … that distinction is not evident in the singing although it is not sounding off pitch as such. Especially the “Gu-Ru” part (Ga-Ma) needs to be cut and dry in this case and perception of coming from lower note to higher note should be very clear. Apart from this you are sliding through some sangathis which probably needs a bit more clarity. Also where you embellish with Guruvayurappaaaooooo … it becomes an “ooooooo” sound rather than an “aaaaaa” sound in the tag end and this discolours the word. You could also afford to sing with more volume as your voice is malleable and will sound better that way I think. The other area of prounciation will also come out better if you sing in a more open fashion.

Whatever I have pointed out are really fine points that most people will not bring up … but I like to bring these up, with hopefully the intention of raising it to the next level of perfection that we all strive for. This is just my own opinion.

Guys I loved it on the whole and the voices were well matched and rendered very aptly. Kudos!.

Typical Ilayaraja….but what an extrordinary arrangement , this song is immitated by many composers after this ( ie Krunada thayi sada chinmayi from kannada movie ) I was playing that kannada song and played this leads instead ….Adhithi was the singer your rendition gives me the pleasure of the wholsome jhonty number…… ramya sounds a slight bit amateurish in this rendition as its slightly pitchy at places.

beautiful cover….enjoyed……Kumaran you have mastered the SPB like tenor with ease in your style ,very evident at many places……

Ramya had a brilliant start in the pallavi and I felt some where you became conscious and restricted hence.

Kumaran :Guruvayurappa at the very start sounded slightly off in timing as well as pitch to me,but very minor though….

On mixing,I feel noise gate has been excessively used thereby slicing some depth from the body of the arrangement,not sure whether the track itself was like that,but….

over all a very enjoyable cover

Never heard this song before ….but it was a pleasure to listen to your rendition. Kumaran you have a great voice ….but however your voice doesnt seemed to be projected with that power you normally have ….Ramya ….you have a beautiful voice ….would agree to some of the comments above ….regarding the strain and expressions ….you could improve upon that. Very pleasant rendition ….enjoyed it !!

Ramya- Nice rendition for the most part, and I am sure most juntha above have pointed out about the higher registers.

Kumaran- Nice vocals, a little strain on the higher registers as well, but nonetheless, your voice flows like butter in this.
