- This is a patriotic poem to the core, but with a difference. It sings the glories of our motherland Goa; it lauds the secular nature of the inhabitants there. And the poet ? The stalwart Late Manjeshwar Govinda Pai, who brought glories to Kannada while he won the RASHTRAKAVI title from the then Government. This is one of the few rare Konkani poems written by Paimam, and the tune is given by late K.Srinivas from Thiruvananthapuram. And the singer ? Yet another Gem from our community, Pandit Upendra Bhat. This poem is included as a song in the Audio CD KONKANI GEET CHANDRIKA. Initial introduction here is by Mrs.Akshatha Shenoy (Sharjah).
