Hi Guys,
This is a nice platform to introduce ourselves and express and share our views, thanks to George. I am an average singer , have a long way to go before I attain perfection with the help of Muziboo friends with their constructive feedback.I started singing early in life ,after I heard Kishoreji’s songs from the Movie “Don” . I fell in love with his voice. Thats how I started singing….
As I grew up listening to hindi songs , I started liking Lataji, Ashaji, Rafi Saab….
I think apart from taking formal Training in singing , voice also plays a very big role in making you perfect in singing. I am saying this coz I have experienced this when I sing some songs that have comparatively difficult harqats and sur from some regular hindi songs. If you dont have clear voice and clear nose we tend to go offnote, can’t get sur right at all . Sometimes I can’t sing some hindi songs which I sing with ease when I have clear nose, clear voice. So I take utmost care and make sure I have a clear voice and nose when I try a challenging number e.g. “Kuch Tho Log Kahenge”, I couldnt sing the song when I felt my voice wasnt clear, I could get the harqats right only when I had clear voice and I didnt have any nasal block . It also takes care of high , low and landing notes. Landing notes sound in-sur only when your voice is crystal clear otherwise it goes haywire. Thats what I feel , opinions might Differ.
MY Plus points ….lols I dont understand what to write…I love to sing Kishoreji songs…thats the only positive thing I see about myself.
Minuses –
1 )While Singing I get carried away , tend to get flat sometimes I think….taking care of that …
2) Taking formal training in singing would have helped me a great deal .
3) Cant think of singing hardcore classical songs.
4) Cant think of singing new hindi songs , need to work on that.
Cheers…

I think you should start by improving your recording rather than anything else. In many of your covers the vocals sound muddy. There seems to be lot of noise. If you can improve that I can just imagine how good your vocals will sound. You already have a kick-ass voice. You take so much effort in perfecting a song technically(like kuch toh log) then why do you want to take anything away from it :-)
As far as singing new songs, I suggest you start with Abhijeet or Kumar Sanu or Udit Narayan songs. You will be able to adapt to their songs easily since you have similar depth in your voice. I can’t advise on improving singing aspects as I am not an expert in anyway :-)
Thanks
