Wah Rakesh Bhai……Aapne apna saara pyaar is assessment me likh diya……Well to start off, I would say that u have a voice to die for….When I say that, I mean it from my HEART….A good voice is as good as half the battle won for a singer, as suggested by Sree in my assessment.

Aaapke aawaz me bahut dard hai and everyone will agree that it resembles KK a lot….i literally mean a lot……In ur assessment u have said that u crave for a clear voice, but it seems that ur vocals are more of less muddy when i listen to your renditions……probably of ur not so good mixing skills………or probably due to the recording setup u have………Even ur voice is clear when u sing, it doesnt sound like that (atleast to me) its very clear….there is always some muddy air in the final mix…….But i always comment on ur singing, sur taal and expressions in which u r very good……

I am glad to have heard some different songs than ur normal kishore ones….I am of the opinion that always play to ur strengths, but it does not hurt even if u play in an alien territory……as as u promised, try some new romantic song, peppy songs, english songs……the try itself is a winner and we all support u in that aspect………

Improvement is the key word in Muziboo which I feel u r achieving and surely u will overcome all ur singing imperfections……

I like the mutual admiration society going on here as u made clear that u wanna sing ghazals like NVK sir, western songs like George, but I feel all the other singers would crave to sing like the way you sing Kishore Da’s songs……So its all even and comes down to experimenting stuff which I would love to see u atleast attempt………

Dont worry about mixing, if possible find a proper combo of recording gear and get ur vocals as clear as possible….u will learn mixing in no time or someone else in muziboo can always help u learn it……

ter coming home 4rom office,warmup ur voice in harmonium
or any other musical instruments for taking care of the
sur then c ur voice quality.As u had mentioned kishore n
umbers suits ur voice,yes i agree with dat,u r junior ki
shoreda of muziboo.But i would say sing some other songs
of diff singers,so dat u can find out the difference.wai
ting for the Rafi number.Aise hi sabi singers ke gaane g
aate raho.yesudas songs,mukesh songs,shankarmahadevan,am
itkumar,uditnarayan etc etc,so tumhare voice mein ek change dikhai dega.u r one of ma fav singers in muzib

e sochta hun yar.Dont worry abt anything yar.we r all

Dil Ki har koney se goonjthi hai aap ki awaz jab aap Kishore daa ke gaane gaathey ho, I haven’t heard anyone who has so much resemblance to Kishore daas voice until I heard both you and Mustafa in Muziboo. Aap ki awaaz mein woh kashish hai jisey sunke dilko sukoon pahoonchtha hai. I also think that your feedback is always frank. Keep doing that.

Rahi baath -ves ki, make sure that you always sing a song without off notes, sometimes you tend to hit those blocks very often in a song. Don’t rush into uploading a song, listen to the song in your stereos, and try correcting the mistakes that you find. Aur abhie tho chothey ho, kyon puraney gaaney gathey ho, you should sing contemporary more often.

Rakesh bhai ….you have an amazing voice. I initially thought that you were trying to mimic Kishoreda until I heard on gtalk. Man you sound like kishoreda even when you talk….:-) It has been a pleasure to have known you ….you have a great ear and a very good music sense. You dont hesitate to put down your thoughts ……and yes “I am smiling :-)” I guess is always a good sign that you liked it. I loved your sau bhar janam lenge as well ….I know you are an ardant fan of kishoreda ….believe me I am too ….but I would like you to come out of the kishoreda umbrella and sing some new songs ….or oldies by other singers ….try different moods, comic, romantic for a change. Your biggest plus is your voice ….I havent heard anyone sing “Kuch tho log kahenge” ……to perfection like you did. Modesty is a trait which is hard to find in today’s world and brother you have tons of it. God bless you and hope to hear a lot from you on Muziboo.

As others have already pointed out your biggest asset is your voice. You KK covers are too good and a pleasure to listen to. As I have said before, I don’t think we have seen the full potential of your voice in your songs yet because of mixing issues in many songs. My offer still holds man – send me your vocals and I can try to mix it for you.
On areas of improvement, most certainly try songs sung by other singers – try more songs by Rafi, you could even sing Lataji/Ashaji songs. Among contemporary singers you could try Kay Kay, Hariharan etc.
You are a very capable singer and I think you have underestimated yourselves in your assessment. Looking forward to more of your renditions.
