Hello Rajeev Etta, to start with, really loved Aparna’s voice and singing all through the song! Venu chettan was fabuous as always!

First of all , about those songs you have mentioned to introduce the raga , Pramadavanam & Varmukile….Wow….Those two r mind blowing !!!.“Pramadavanam” is well known to all Keralites but i think “Vaarmukile” is only known to few people……According to me , attraction of the both songs are it’s charanams & sustain portion at the end of charanams (“Innithaaaaaaaaaaa” in Pramadavanam & “Hridaya ramanaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa” in Vaarmukile)…KJY & KSC had given a treat to all of us by those two magical stuffs , with the help of OUR DEAREST RAVEENDRAN MASTER (I still can’t believe where he had gone…………I believe , somewhere he is making bunch of songs for us & will come back with those in future…….)

About your composition , sir , its always a pleasure to hear the voice of Venugopal sir in a light song !!! But he also has to be very lucky to get such a beautiful composition for him to perform upto the mark….Really loved it sir….Aparna also done a good job. And the usage of flute in between added the real tasty flavour in it……Both the charanams were perfect with full of light bhavams & concrete timing……Beautiful….Sir , may i know who had done the programming…???

About lyrics , sir , you know very well that we will be always prejudiced to see a lion’s son to roar like his father !!! Likewise , there is no wonder in it….I mean it……You have really tried to transfer the feelings of yourself with humble & simple words !!! Very apt for the song.

Now a days , our traditional prejudiced mentality is almost taking hard ends if we compare the same with a son (i dont want to mention the name , but all his songs are really rubbish….not at all useful for making the animals at Zoo to enter into the cages…) of a famous cum legend lyricist in our industry !!! Hope you know the person very well……. But about yourself , ONV sir will be always very proud & happy to say loudly to the whole world “Yes….He is my blood….”

Congrats sir….kindly bless us by doing more a& more like this.

it is really great.i am a big fan of hindustani ragas and m.s.baburaj songs.(he composed mostly in those).a lyricist,composer,singer all in the same house.

Rajeev Sir: Lovely composition. Is there a carnatic equivalent of this raaga? Sounds a little bit like nattai in some places. This reminded me of one of the songs – chenthamizh solleduthu bharathi kavidhayai…… I think I have heard Rajkumar Bharathi sing this.
Venugopal and Aparna: Soothing rendition. Enjoyed it.

This time the lyrics are yours? I’m so impressed with fullness of LOVE irradiating from the song – especially the lyrics of pallavi and anupallavi are so super. And the music you gave no need to say is superior as usual. ( Those 2 songs you mentioned are favourites of mine too). Venugopal is at his best and Aparna the born singer! Congrats and best wishes!

Apologies for being so late here!

Mindblowing composition! It is one of my most fav raagams for various reasons. Venugopal was brilliant (loved his sangathi at ee anuraagam) but for me, Aparna stole the show with her innocent but bhaava-rich voice. She just has to work on getting those complex brigaas clearer.

So many wonderful songs in this raag. Sruthi amma layam acchan comes to mind also. Beautiful song indeed. It was a serene listening experience. The subtle usage of Anandha Bhairavi in the interludes is interesting. Both Venugopal and Aparna have done a great job. Thanks for posting this lovely song here for us.
