A light romantic song composed for a video album. Translated roughly, the opening lines mean “This dusk will fade away soon and the saffron it touched on the sky, but not you from my mind….”. Udayakumar, a very talented singer has been singing my tracks for most of what I have done. He is still awaiting the breaks he deserves. Presenting this song here in Udayan’s voice.

Udayan has a voice that so reminds me of Jayachandran. Such lovely sangathis! I am imagining him singing all my favs of JC in MSV’s music! :) I pray that this song will give Udayan the recognition he deserves for a glorious career in music!

Rajeev – nice work again. Listened to this first sometime back and the pallavi (the sangathi at the last eee deserves special mention) espec stayed with me and found myself humming this – desired effect of a good composition !?! Found the charanam layout quite unusual and very interesting. Very meaningful lyrics, good singing by Udayan and very good work by you. 5 from me.

Very nice melody and lyrics and I am already humming it. A longing filled pathos feel dominated which may be been your intent. Udayan’s singing was good also but could be better in some aspects. Overall, I enjoyed it very much.

I really like the way you use traditional instruments in your arrangments and I enjoyed the flute, tabla, veena bits. It is amazing how one can follow the lyrics with a little bit of translation and words that are common to languages – kumkumam, sandhya, chitram, malar thaaL…. amazing.
Enjoyed the rendition and it reminded of Kishore Kumar’s “Kuch to log kahenge….” – same raaga, I guess.
Udayan has a nice voice that is very pleasant to the ears.

Uthra-yes, I like to work with traditional tones as far as possible. The bamboo flute is my favourite. Song is not following any raaga but I can say it comes close to Kedar. Nice to know that you could follow the song through common words. Thank you for your appreciation.

I got caught up with some work. Hence I am late here. The song is really pleasant. As all mentioned the tradiitional instruments you use are a treat. The singing of Uday was superb. He added a nice feel. One slight thing that I didn’t like was the effect added to his vocals. I felt it could have been better. Pinne ithil when compared to other compositions of your lyrics kurachu tight ayee alle kedakkunne ennoru doubt. But none the less, it reaches my heart :)
