Raj Kumar Anjan - Uruguthae... Lyrics & Chords
A block-buster movie giving almost a cake-walk entry into the tamil cine musicdom to G.V.Prakash Kumar. Yeah, the movie is ‘Veyyil’ and the song is ‘Uruguthaey’ originally rendered by Shankar Mahadevan and Shreya Ghoshal. When Srividhya kannan has come up with the idea to cover this song, I had to contemplate before giving my word as this song stands as one of the best renditions of Shankar Mahadevan with his signature details which are intricate. Srividhya has sung effortlessly while I had to strain a lot to render and deliver. While recording this song, received a notification from Muziboo about a song posted by Annapoorna which was dedicated to myself and Vishnu for our birthdays respectively. Got choked emotionally and couldnt record this song for an hour. Finally have come up with what I could. Mixing was done by myself. :-) So need to bear with me yet again.
Sorry for the delay in completing my part Srividhya. My apologies and my Belated Birthday Wishes.

Awesome pick guys….
Srividhya- very bright vocals, and nice feel. Felt it a little pitchy in the charanam though.
Raj- your brigas are very well done, however ooh in the pallavi when you go up think didn’t hit the highest note. Your last uppersthaayi urugudhae had awesome feel specifically…
Raj- your mixing has improved, that muddy and hollow feeling is not apparent now ( like you are singing from the well for instance). Guess all of us learn as we go along :)

Super da kannaa…. I guess you belong to the ‘Minimum Guarantee’ singer category wherein your efforts put in and your mesmerising voice would never fail to tranquilise the listeners. Nothing more to say da – I just recollect one kezha mozhi ‘enna thaan nalla studenta irunthaalum vaathiyaara vaazhthi onnumilla’. Each time I hear this, I could discern varied style of expressions, especially I loved the ‘hoi’ at 2:30. Uruguthey un paadalai kettathaaley!!! Sri- Effortless singing with brilliant stuff…. Very tough song to render, gently done by both of u. The expression at 5:36 was impressive Raj…. Proud of u Raj and may the nature bestow upon you more and more successful renditions…. Appreciate your guts to choose this tough song and you ve done more than just justice to the original. i am not going to cover the strain part for obvious reasons because i know for most of us here there will only be air at that range :D I just went mad at one place in second charanam “summakava” got goosebumps really. i also felt you could ve been all the more effective in your natural voice but guess you wanted to be in sync with srividhya’s boldness & energy. enjoyed this a lot !
Srividya, very bold voice and very nice singing. Slight offs here and there but your bold voice and sangathis comfortably masked the minor issues. Volume levels could ve been a little lower. Excellent feel and singing.

Vidhya, opening appidiye Shreya madiri irundhudhu. Off notes ellam mention pannitanga. But I envy your voice clarity and that sweet tone. Keep it up.
Raj, indha patta kekkarathukku munndiye nan favs la pottutten. I was damn sure you would have rocked. Adhe madiri dhool kelapitta. Higher registers is not your forte yet nnu nenaikkiren. Adhula concentrate pannu. ‘Unna Sumakkava’ romba azhaga irundhudhu.

Excellent performance by both of u. This is a fantastic song. Probably the best composition of GV’s. I think i’m way too late here. So won’t mention some pointers, which are said enough already.
Vidya – Your voice is superb. There were instances of shreya’s voice in few places :).
