Fortunes/Misfortunes never come in single… Actor Mohan was one such person who had enjoyed the recurring strokes of fortune and rose to stardom… As an actor, he never inherited any qualities mandated for a hero… Even the dialogue-dubbing was done by someone else… Many such Mohans prospered and survived in the industry cos of an one-man-mission, called Ilayaraja… My composer-friend in the field says that the tamil industry wouldn’t have survived the tough competition posed by the bollywood, if we weren’t blessed to have this man, IR amongst us… And ‘Udhaya Geetham’ is one such movie with a gawky storyline and screenplay… IR’s music alone shouldered the movie and helped it to keep the theaters jam-packed for 175 days…
