Coming to this spiritual rendition I felt there was more bass in your voice and that was nice to hear. Technically it is hard to fault any of your renditions as you do not have such problems. You are gifted with very good singing talent as I have noted many times earlier.

The improvement area for this rendition is in the “feel” area … I did listen to the original. I am learning a lot myself through listening to more music all the time and muziboo has been a great avenue for that. I think everybody has a God given voice that has its own uniqueness and some of the great voices get blended to a near perfect mix through the experiences they have in life in having either great Gurus or working mentors. Most of us are not that lucky and we try to improve on our own which is a slower process. We are not doing it for a living so this is quite ok, nevertheless nothing stops us from aspiring for the best and working on it.

So coming to the feel of your rendition it was a bit stoic. It should have been more pining and yielding to bring out the devotional and emotional essence. So to show this one has to adapt the voice to that genre and lose oneself while singing; I believe then that the emotion inside the singer’s voice will reveal itself. Extending out some words gives room to emote and this is one approach you can take. Showing dramatically the descending and ascending note fluctuations also has the same effect. These are some of the things that comes to mind. Basically try to lose yourself in the singing rather than concentrating on the notes and pitch etc. … you do not have technical problems so no fears there. I cannot say the same thing about myself. I try to lose myself and then I lose pitch too! That is another problem at the technical level, which is what I need to fix.

Anyways, lovely pick and it really was very soothing for the soul listening to this. A very thoughtful post by you and I am really honoured in the process. All the best.
