Pinitinga Raj. One of those landmark anthems. Agree with Sukumar on the smile factor, part of the ingredient of this beautiful song.

You have rightly delivered on the soulful feel of this song, sung with so much ease, especially the aalaps. Every parameter of the song so well captured and maintained the feel. Oru Rajinikanth casualness/coolness was felt in ‘ah’.

You have enjoyed singing it so love the 2nd redition of ‘ennai nan thedi…which added beauty in the drag’ just as in original.

I can go on mate…what a haunting melody, you have so shadowed Balu sir in your own god given Vocals.

The true mark of a good singer who sings covers is how the singer interprets the original and comes out with his or hers version = and not trying to mimic the original singer and copy it 100% – if thats the case then I would rather listen to the original….so for this reason I just loved your rendition…to my favs.

Trust the phrase “would have been just like the original”in my f/b above is not misinterpreted to emphasise that you need to mimic the original.

This song is famous for its subtle nuances and the “feel” factor, apart from Rajanikanth. Bringing out those subtle nuances and the feel (the essence and beauty of this song),is a very difficult task, that requires a lot of concentration and practise. That is the challenge/intimidation you were also referring to. Since you have addressed those aspects almost like in the original, its indeed a great achievement.

A wonderfully rendered classic (original)remains a classic; a benchmark for any aspiring and talented singer like you to try and emulate. Hats off for a rendition that is very close to the composition you (me included) are in “awe”. This is what i referred to in my f/b above….

Commendable effort! Keep posting more such numbers. cheers

Anbilae vaazum nenjil and aaahan was classy. most people get stuck there but you managed it beautifully :). your breath control was commendable too. one of your best performance bro.

Just one suggestion. The song’s ending Nenjil could have been a little sustained.

I understand that this song was composed when Raja was in the hospital taking treatment.
