Very nice song selection and you have attempted it well. This is one hell of a song in which Shankar Mahadevan would have sung it beautifully with his powerful+brilliant vocals:)

Initial humming could have been better. Innum konjam powerfula and feeloda irunthirukalam!.because humming part is the address of the genre of this song. In the first charanam “Ilai karaierathe konjam bettera irunthirukalam”!…And after the charanam vara pallaviyum konjam bettera irunthirukalamnu thonuchu…Like "Kaadhalin kelvikku badhil enna mounama (inge highla edukumpothu rendu birgas kooda serthirukalam)

Towards the end, you would have added with some humming or you would have sang that portion. Verumaya vitadhu paatoda azhagaikedupathaga irukindrathu!…Pitching problems were there here and there…mathapadi I don’t find any major mistakes in your singing…feel factor is always a hurdle to you i guess…please work on it…Whatever song you sing is good to hear, but andha feel iladhadhala manasula nikkamatengathu…For eg: ennaye eduthukonga…feel elam nalla kodukuren for the songs…but couldn’t able to eliminate some minor mistakes…small nuances gavanikanaum…samewise for you, feel of the song needs attention!…Then you will be an Expressive singer for sure:)…All the best!…And hope I didn’t say anything wrong…If so sorry!

Commendable effort Raj aNNa!! This is one of the tough songs to render in many aspects! Have heard many playback singers say this on stage…

Could feel the strain of your voice at many places bcoz of the pitch & tempo… adhuvum original ah vida kooda :-o U could’ve sung the original at 5.10 apdinnu thonuchu :) Main thing i noticed was, the feel… That pain was missing Na… Always, I have found ur renditions rich in feel… May be bcoz of the pitch??

Neverthless, enjoyed this in ur voice :)

Raj… At the outset, it takes a lot of guts to attempt this song… Not an easy song as it might sound… Shankar would have given a lot of throw, and it will do something to the listener… An impact song…. Very very very gud take on it. Very sincere effort. But a few things i observed: Pogirai at 0:21 was abrupt. Could feel little strain in ur voice at places. Very few off’s were felt here and there… Gud feel, gud throw. Track had different chords in a different scalein the first charanam…. Kundhaladi was very gud… It has one more loop, which i feel u shud hv attempted :) But this itself was beautifull… At 5 10 not sure why you had left it blank…. You could have sung and completed that phrase….

Overall… I would sum up and say this was a brilliant effort. But im sure there is a little scope for improvement to take u to a state of perfection which is very critical to transform u to bcom a play back singer that u deserve to be….

Raj – This is one of the songs that impacteded me a lot when i heard it first :) What a lovely rendition! :) Your feel is as usual outstanding! certain places was better than the original in terms of emotions :) That said , the voice sounded strained a few places(pitch i guess as u hv mentioned ) the very begining could have been better as well. your capable of much more feel! :)

Raj,What a song pick !! It’s not the blind guts to attempt it,it is your maturity in singing that gave you the confidence to attempt it which has been clearly showcased in this song.For me it was close to original except for the ease at which SM sings the higher ranges :D It was brilliant senior and there were no big shortcomings as you wrote up or may be which couldn’t be identified by a normal audience like me :D Keep going at the same pace and you will be there where you deserve to be :D

Awesome effort Raj! been awhile since i listened to your songs here. enna monstrous song eduthu paadirukke. such a sincere effort and it shows. ennamo bayangarama merugu eri iruku… recording equipment aye? sama throw and it has captured it well. the empty portion after second stanza felt odd. please reupload with some of your jaalak there too. ore oru off i thought… “saava” and same portion in first stanza (uyir karai…). Puriyaada was fantastic!

Such an open throated rendition… with apt feel which is ettada kani! Thaalattum kaatre vaa next try pannu.

No problem, the pitch & temp are the same as in the original itself as can be confirmed since my humble self used to sing this song in many of my stage programmes !
This song with high pitch portions is a typical SM-style song !
Incidentally, your good self has left out some portion without singing as mentioned above !
It’s my humble request to re-upload this after filling that gap !
Despite that, your rendition has been quite professional & expressive !
