Raj Kumar Anjan - Azhagey Sugamaa from Paarthaaley Paravasam with Srividya Kasturi..
Raj Kumar Anjan - Azhagey S... Lyrics & Chords
Love is unconditional while relationships are not… Every other thing on earth seems to be a worthless bauble for any love-struck heart… That tricky ecstatic feel would never let us to assess the differences to iron them out at the earlier stage… Having been engulfed in love, a man loses his intellect and starts to abide by his heart… Love is just an ephemeral emotion which can be made eternal only by the persons involved in the relationship… The most scorching punishment that one could face is a break-up… Besides investing emotions in a relationship, one also treasures some of the touching gestures and memories in the chambers of heart… So crushing the heart becomes inevitable to get rid off those memories… When left alone, one gets his/her chance to evaluate the possibilities to mend up the estranged relationship… In loneliness, one realizes the mistakes he/she had done disturbing the harmony and eventually feels embarrassed for having missed someone special… Absence is the best presence. because when someone is absent, you miss him/her… When you miss someone badly, he/she is present in your heart… We pose a series of questions to the one we miss terribly then… Mind and Heart don’t work at all sans that special one… Enough is enough… :)
‘Azhagey Sugamaa’ is such a number with lyrics of catenated questions… The male and female protagonists crave for each other and sing… Vairamuthu is a boon to tamilnadu, having won many accolades for both his filmy and non-filmy works… I’m sharing the meaning of a couple of lines from this song for non-tamizh friends…
“My love!! Don’t you know, teardrops can mop away slurs??
Don’t you understand, deficiencies and differences are common in relationships??
This is a parley conducted by tears for truce…
won’t the broken hearts mend??”
ARR-Vairamuthu combo has always been a safe-bet to top the charts… ‘Paarthaley Paravasam’ is no exception… A must watch movie with a different plot and screenplay… Thanks to Srividya Kasturi for partnering with me again to bring this melody out… This number put me in perturbation, after I failed to emote as Srinivas has done originally… I somehow managed and please bear with the quality output… And Srividya has done her portions astoundingly well, as always… Whatelse can one expect from a class-personified singer as she?? Thanks to Sanjay for helping me in creating the k-track… Candid comments are expected and here, I present our cover version for your feedback… :)

P.S: Please lend an ear to a pristine cover of this very song here One of my good friends, Balaji Rajendran wanted me to cover this and I dedicate this to him and to another brat, named Dwarak Santhanagopalan who is all set to embark on a different journey… I wish him good luck in all his future endeavors… We all are gonna miss him for sure… :( Best wishes da, machchi!!!

Hats off to you and Srividhya Kasturi… Always a challenge to sing slow paced songs, but you both have pulled it off brilliantly…
BTW, when is the other one (Idho Idho En Pallavi) coming? Srividhya is agood choice if she is willing and familiar with the song….
Going to my favorites….

A beautiful composition by Rahman with poignant lyrics by Vairamuthu.Very sensitive rendition by you, Srividya and Raj. But there was something missing, I cant put quite finger to it. Hi Machi,
In my third iteration of this splendid art! Each iteration chaining a different reaction certainly consumes the listener into a musical blackhole.Brilliant vocals, a very breezy rendition with the emotional cream brimming over and evaporating into a muscal realm …later showering down with such sweetness. You were simply awesome…move into the groove…the album/movie domain.
Vidhya – Long time since I got to listen to your songs and nealty paired and it was so graceful, emotive and sheer brilliance.
Vocals and mixing seemed outstanding…classic piece.
Cheers Loved it

A powerful original, equally powerful cover. God bless you Raj Kumar. You nailed it. One of my all time favorites. Thanks for picking the under hyped singer of Chennai Srinivas.
