A vintage song. These are all very few songs of PBS, where in he has demonstrated his naughtiness which the charater demanded. Another dimention of this versatile singer. You have expressed it very well in this song. MSV’s wonderful compositions. All the songs in this film were hit.

With PBS dawned the era of melody
With SPB it progressed to ethereal level

A completely original singer who was responsible singularly for the transformation of the way songs were sung in tamil films (AM raja must also be mentioned here). Prior to PBS, high pitched singing was accorded the greatest respect with many attempting to break sonic barriers. With PBS came that heartwarming laid back but intricate and delicate rendition and the era of romance truly began. To a great extent PBS can be likened to Hemant da, although the intricate harkats of PBS were, in my opinion far superior. In fact, when queried once by my friend Sriram Lakshman, about those countless sangathis that seem to just flow without a preconception, he replied modestly : " honestly, I do not know how I sing. Hence I cannot reproduce them either". Well not an easy task for anybody and it needed a person of SPB’s caliber to surmount it.

You have done a beatiful balanced job. Very well done raj.
