First and Fore-most my thanks to all those lovable souls who have poured their wishes and blessings on me this day. I will ever remember this day, the 13th of March 2010. My heart-felt gratitude for those who remembered and wished me on this day. You are the real gardeners of my soul which has blossomed with a hybrid spirit to face life that is to ensue. I dont just utter words for the sake of bringing a preamble to this song. I speak from my heart this very moment. At this zero hour of my life, I would also tender my unconditional apologies to those who have been hurt by any of my deeds or words at any point of time. Thats it from me on this day, an ordinary day which has been made a colourful one by sweet hearts from the all the corners of the world. Thanks again and this day has given me a message which is so special.
About this rendition, we had been discussing about doing this for quite sometime. Myself, Deepesh and many other buddies from Muziboo had plans to collaborate to do this and my jinx has hindered me from working on this divine composition. Myself, Deepesh and the karaoke bank, Ajay(casanova of Adambakkam) have worked and brought out this cover version. This is a master-piece composition from IR for the movie, ‘Naan Kadavul’ with many rudra and chamaka manthraas implanted with slokas in Sanskrit. Having been a sanksrit student in my school days, I believe I have enunciated the syllabic stresses properly and so do Deepesh. Ajay had real tough time as he was not used to this slokas and manthras. We have intrigued him to deliver the best and it has come out well, I believe. We have been combating with The Chamaka manthras. Finally we have done it. Sanskrit & Veda scholars are requested to kindly bear with us if at all we have ruined the divine works of God(As per Hindu Myth).
Today is Maha Shivaraathri in the temples of Tamilnadu and some parts of India. There has been a confusion in celebrating this auspicious day attributed to Lord Shiva whether to celebrate it in the month of February or March. As we have 2 panchaankaas in place – Vaakyam and Thirukkanitham the celebrations are carried out based on the adaptation of the temples to the type of Panchanka. Am so blessed to have this day fall on my birthday. I sincerely pray Lord Shiva to enrich all of them here – to brighten the lives of those who are yet to come out of darkness and to sustain the happiness to those who are leading a satisfied life both emotionally and fiscally. God bless you all.

Vedic hymns are not easy to render & we have
all the slokas in Sanskrit. My only observation was whether the Mantras were uttered properly and did not compare with the moive please. Mantras cannot be changed even if it is for a movie. Liked it.
Sometimes please upload Sivaananadalahari & and Soundaryalahari BUT the pure form.

First of all, brilliant attempt, all 3 of you. Kudos, and claps! Not everyone bravely ventures into singing the rudra chamakam manthrams. Like you said, some of their pronunciations can tie your tongues into knots.
Few nitpicks – the first rudram ‘Rudhraaya…’ felt a little slower than the timing.
The combined voices in the ‘namaha’ at the end of the 2nd rudram went slightly off pitch, again in the ‘Kaala trikaala’, your 3 voices were not uniformly together, oru very slight imbalance. Avlo daan….
(as for pronunciations, pls….who am I to comment on them… :) )
Loved the small sangathis – the ‘aaa’ after ‘Shambo shankara…’, in all the ‘Bajeham’. There is just one extra sangathi of the ‘Shivoham’ in the original, but nothing big.
All that said, WOW! Again, kudos on the effort, all 3 of you! superb…I loved it! FAVing it!

Guys ! seriously i was excited as soon as i saw the notification ! such was the power of the song selection that you hae made ! I must admit i was just shivering and speechless on hearing you guys sing. such is the amount of throw and vibrations this generated. Heard it wat around 5-6 times now and i am not done with it yet ! been on the loop for sometime now. Wonderf ul singing.
Deepesh, this song is a clear indication on the throw you can generate without compromising on the tone of the voice. simply wonderful. Though you sounded a little up & down in terms of volume in different parts of the song, you were just great with your pronunciation and attitude. excellent singing.
Raj, man you spring surprises all the time dont you :D ! Sooperb singing. During the initial rudram beautiful concept to bring each of your voices to the front one by one by fading the other. Loved your “Veera badraya ….” everywhere. Special mention to your pronunciation ! Absolutely fabulous.
Ajay, well done to get the lyrics right. Enjoyed the rudram, chamakam portions. Well done.
There were a few timing issues. As rekha mentioned one sangathi on Sivoham was missed. certain places volume control cud ve been better.

I am very new to Muziboo and Deepa was nagging me to hear this song for the past two days.
I was busy with my work and i heard your song this morning.

That was very well done guys… just felt the initial rudram could have been a little smoother ( not softer, but a trifle smoother)
Also, felt some timing issues here and there ( esp until the chamaka mandram comes in), then it got ironed out- ofcourse all this are nitpicks :P
I think all voices suited the song well!

Although I don’t think it is a masterpiece from IR, I was really floored by all of your performance. There has been quite a lot of effort put in by all. IF at all there is one thing you could have improved, in my opinion, it would have been once again the diction. One simple example is "bha"jEham and not bajeham. Similarly it is "shoo"la and not "soo"la. Just a nitpick in this otherwise beautiful effort.
