Kitcha Swamy & Raj Kumar Anjan - Oru Dhinam, an original song on a lover's pine.. :)
Kitcha Swamy & Raj Kumar An... Lyrics & Chords
What is life?? Its a series of what we get as experiences, each one of which makes us grow bigger though we fail to realize it… And this world was built to develop our characters, making us learn from the setbacks and griefs which we have endured helping us march towards our goals… :) An artiste will be at his best when he gets clouded by emotions brooding on something… This is well substantiated through some poems which stay immortal, savored by us, though the respective poets are not alive…
And when something inspires and intrigues you to perform, the outcome will be the best… So was the birth of this composition… Kitcha came to me asking if I would sing for one of his original compositions and he insisted me to sing as he was inspired to belt this out on seeing one of my snaps on FB… It was a surprise, in deed… How would you feel when someone gets inspired by a photograph of yours and create music?? I felt the same way… He was super quick that he came with the lyrics and the tune in the next couple of days… Lyrics easily corroborate the mood of the song and the pine of a lover who gets deserted by his lady-love… Everything was fine but I panicked a lot if I would do justice, as this was completely feel-oriented… Thanks a lot to Kitcha for trusting me… This happens to be my 4th original unofficially… Of the 3, one was shelved due to some or the other reason… Other 2 changed hands due to my non-commitment… So this is out finally… :) And my voice is influenced by some odd wobbles these days and the belting of details does not come as easy and clearer as before… I request you to bear with the cacophony that I came with in the last few months… Its high time that I give rest to my throat and come back fresh… With this post, I will go off recording and stay as a listener relishing all your musical feasts… Good Luck to you all…

Nice groove… Kitcha… :)
Raj, Congrats on your original. I know your caliber thats why I am telling the following. My comments are strictly on your rendition. Lyrics, I cannot say a thing. It sounding good.
First and very important is the slides and landing. Most of your landings were unsure, not acceptable for an original, that too from you
@1:12 – mayanginen
@1:19 – kalnginen
Voice is cracking in lower notes, which might be one thing that you have kept for the feel.
Sruthi – No compromise Raj. I too make mistakes on basic things like this.
I would suggest you to give another take on the song. Very slowly approach the song. The expressions were good but the modulations in voice are unsure. its not smooth.
Original song needs that polish, the way you sound is very important. I felt a very casual approach.
I would like to mention again, with your qualities, this is not acceptable. Please give it one more try.
Kitcha – The melody is beautiful. You are always strong on that part. Liked it very much. Kudos and wishes. Next time you visit India please plan something to consolidate the best songs of yours.
Raj/kitcha – Very nice effort. I would like to also mention that all that i have written above is just my opinion I can be wrong.
wishes and regards
Best!!!

Unni!!! I completely agree with you… I feel the same… Nowhere near perfection… Will need to work a lot… As I mentioned in my prelude notes, throat seems to trouble me a lot… Will take a break and come back with what I am left… Thanks for such a detailed comment da… :)
Thanks,

Hi Kitcha and Raj,
Good one from u!
I agree with Unni, Raj!
While covering songs we are guided by the original which is lacking when we do original. It needs the rapport between the composer and the singer. One can’t compare the professionally mixed originals with these kind of efforts. But in spite of that we all aim at improving, illaya?
I want to stand no.1 in the queue of wishers for Singer Raj!
Kitcha,
good melody! Keep them coming!

Totally agree with Unni’s points and also happy to see his generous comments, after a very long time :-). Thanks Unni for your insight and comments. I’m also very glad that you liked the song. Raj, definitely is the best suit for this song, not just because i saw his photo but his voice according to me was the best for this song. Raj had been suffering with his throat for almost 2 months I would say and I had to go with this version, considering the amount of time this song has taken us to get it out. Im sure Raj can easily do a much better job than this but his efforts put for this song was amazing. Thanks a lot Raj for all your efforts put into the song. Well, there is always an improving factor in this godly art called Music. Lets hope we all get there soon :)
Thanks a lot folks for all your comments and time spent.

Liked it much Raj! I could feel the pain, and I guess thats what the song meant to convey. I don’t know to comment on the technicalities.

Sounding very good and mellifluous, Raj. Very nice tune and arrangement, Kitcha. I liked your interludes and the soft soundtrack a lot! Some polishing and fine-tuning will complete it, but I think you guys have a winner with this original work.
Keep up the good work, Kitcha and Raj,
Sudha

Raj,
brilliant mate.Superb com[osition and yo’ve given life to that equally.Superb team work.
And you are exactly right,in certain situations somesought of music will come in ur mind just which cope with that one……Me too faced the same situation a couple of times. As a result there are 1 or two music still in mind and even two of the songs still resting because of the lack of BGM.
Anyways…keep goin on guys….Expectin more creation from the team…
Convey regards to Kitcha, such an amaizing musician.Heard some pf his music

Hi Raj and Kitcha!
First of all Kitcha, I would like to appreciate you once again for coming up with such a beautiful composition!! Loved it all the way…
Raj – Already knowing your difficulties with the voice I must say, this is a very good rendition… A very soulful rendition… Feel and expressions were really nice… The humming portions have been done really very well too… However, following upon Unni’s comments, an original is a diff ball game and impressing the listener the very 1st time is a tough job and is THE job of the singer… So I would really love to hear this re-done once your voice is in better shape… You DO have the potential man… We all know tht… Give it time… Time heals… :) Come back with a blast!
All the very best!
