A Magic Journey - Dedicatio... Lyrics & Chords
A song which has ingrained immortally in my heart for some very special reasons… The moment the prelude notes hit my ear-drums, I would see a swarm of butterflies fluttering around me; a door opens up in the sky and a pompier drops down; a pair of angels clad in white attire fetch my hands and take me through the door to the wonderland… :) It definitely is a magic journey as the notes are glued together by the musical wizard, Ilayaraja himself… Was wanting to cover this masterpiece desperately as I had been obsessed with this composition which is of awesome arrangements, marvelous chorus and mercurial singing by Usha Uthup… I bet, no one could compose such a piece for this sequence… ANJALI was an off-beat movie, surprisingly grossing heavily at the box office primarily due to the sound-track… And this song knitted with the notes, bouncing from the pericardium goes out as a dedication to those special people…
- Happy Birthday Rasiah aka Ilayaraja… I don’t find myself deemed to wish him but only to pray for his good health to continue his magic journey which can only exorcise the rawness of life… :)
- Happy Birthday to Vijay Ram who happens to be the brother of our dear friend, Jaishree Ram… May you get all the bestest of things and get crowned with the winner’s cap always… :)
- Belated wedding anniversary wishes to Venkat – Shiva Priya… I would attribute Muziboo’s success to you, both as I know how subservient you are, in bringing people to this forum encouraging artistes… Love you, both!!!
- Happy Wedding Anniversary to Seetharaman – Lakshmi… Thanks to the couple for gifting us all with such lovely siblings – Balaji and Ramji… Have always admired Balaji’s varied knowledge – a master of many trades, I need to say… Have always loved Ramji for his cuteness filled innocence… He is nigh to most of my friends as the youngest brother to us all… :) Love you da, thambis!! :)
- Many more happy returns of this wedding day to Ramesh – Chandra… I got acquainted with her through Shiva Priya… Such a gentle soul, she is!! I am really lucky to have found her… Fumbling to find words to describe things… Thanks to Priya for gifting me with another mom on earth… :)
- Long live my dear senior, Subha and her spouse, Mukund who celebrate their 6th wedding anniversary today with their cute little angel, Aadhya Mukund… :) Miss your voice, Subha!! My special ‘hi’ to Aadhya… :D
Through this cover, I greedily wish to take all these special people on a magic journey to my wonderland… Hope you’d enjoy this rendition as I have modulated my voice to match the original singer’s voice and have tried to cope up with the flow to maintain the mood… God bless all… :)

Very interesting mix, Raj! That’s the first thing that struck me when I started listening to it.
Very well modulated vocals too :) Felt it a wee bit pitchy in vegam vegam part (esp the ’ve’gam part…might want to double check on that) An absolutely beautiful song to cover… couldn’t agree more!
