Friends, I realized I hadn’t uploaded a Kishore Kumar number for a long time. Hence, the other day, when I came across this track, I decided this was it! And KK singing for himself on the screen was an added attraction!
This song is a classical based one, on Raag Maru Bihag. Hope I have enough justice to this song and its legendary singer!

Kya baat hai, Raghu. Nice peppy rendition – I agree with Adithi about a bit more vibrance, but that is usually shortchanged when we record at home. Also second Vidya’s request for Radhike Tune Bansri bajaayi.

Thanks for visiting my space. After Adhiti’s comment, I made it a point to revisit the original. And did I feel that there’s not much amiss in the vocals? Perhaps the flatness of the k-track is impacting the overall perception of energy….? Or perhaps I am getting defensive….

Reasonably good singing of this forgotten song by you Raghu ji….felt a bit less melodious and lifeless at some places compared to original…probably a lttle higher scale would have worked….anyways congrats for selecting this rare one and rendering it in enjoyable style….regards

If you take a listen to the original, you will realize that I am on the same pitch!!
While I have responded to the ‘energy/vibrancy’ aspect upstairs, I don’t quite comprehend nor agree with the “less melodious and lifeless” comment.

O god, :) This is just mind blowing. I smiled with delight all through, yes, this is called a Kishore Kumar’s fan. His simple songs are pretty good approachable, but the classy note, is surely given by the classical oriented ones, like this one. I am so proud to have sung a duet with a singer like You…. oops, becoming emotional…. :)
