Raj gave me this track a few months back but did not get a chance to try this out. I have made an attempt to sing this but there are breath control issues and tempo issues, the latter I am sure is some sort of a recording issue. Please listen to it when you get a chance and leave me your comments.
This one turned out to be a song I could not sing open throated and perhaps, the first one from me. I don’t know if it sounds falsetto but I did not try to sing falsetto.

Uthra! Attempting to cover this song is really an acid test to establish one’s strengths… Felt the tempo of the song has mislead you a bit contributing to the minor pitching issues in the opening alaap… Seems you were very conscious in racing with the tempo… :) And I could still hear your original voice in this and not the falsetto… Great attempt!!! Keep digging out such toughies and present them in your voice for us…

Hello Uthra, perhaps the first time listening to you . I came here following Raj, I love this song to the core, not an easy song to sing.I can see why you couldnt do open-throated singing here, yet loved your attempt. I thought the starting alaap could’ve been better.Other than that, neat rendition.

Gosh Uthra, what a tough song and that too at such a towering pitch! The rapid alaap’s clarity can be further refined and the strain felt at some of the highest spots i guess cant be avoided given the scale(but hats off that you even produced a musical sound at this scale :-O!!!).

Such a tough song……Very commendable effort Uthra….Starting was a bit shaky, but understandable due to the difficulty of the composition. Interlude humming was nice.

Kudos to the song pick…Barring the few hiccups here and there, and tempo wise, where there was some lag- I loved listening to this…

An extremely difficult song. I can’t believe you picked this one :-) Not just the complexity of the sangathis, the pace of the song is not helpful at all :-) Full marks for the awesome attempt.
It was thoroughly enjoyable. Very well rendered.
