Love Middle Eastern tunes….upto 1:30 I was with this Carvaan….
What language were the last three pieces? I liked the way you ended each one with aaj bhi hai. Sargam….
:) often i use to think even sing free minded like this perhaps every one…gives very sweet feel…lovly idea.dont know whether you have prepared before singing…
Thanks Srimathy. Glad you liked it. Familiar with kabootar but not the other one.
Paras: Thank you. The other language is tamil.
Sukumar: Thank you. The preparation was gathering the songs for the medley. Singing was impromptu.
Uthra….hats off for this another great experiment….love people who take risks because without risk….talent is just a waste….just loved it …very impromptu and sincere singing…without punching and track joiners…thats what I look in renditions….to my favourites….keep this creative juice flowing….loved it !!!!

Uthra!!! This is something unique and distinctive… I reproduce whatever I hear to some extent but never could be able to relate the songs and form a garland as this… Given that this was an impromptu, I think you have scored the fullest… Great work here… Now I request you to collaborate with people here and unearth some gems… Teamwork is always fun… :) Good Luck!!
Thanks,

Don’t stereotype a singer’s genre and don’t judge his/her character based on the covers u hear here…
Nice one Uthra … very refreshing indeed and something different … well thought out and it hung together nicely.
I think the scale or Ragam is Maya Maalava Gowla (Carnatic induction scale) if I am not mistaken. You could have added “Poonkadhave Thaazthiravai” (IRaja) to it as well … I was humming that one!.
Nice work and liked your devout singing!

Very good collection of songs Uthra, you have weaved them together very well. Especially appreciate the fact that you transitioned between songs from different genres, languages and time perids. Aaj bhi is a favorite of mine from Hariji :-).
U, kudos to you for coming up with these stringed experimental pieces. Couldnt help smiling at the aaj bhi repeats soon after the Tamil bits. Good one and really well sung for an impromptu take. Now time for treating us to a full song?

Lovely medley pieces, Uthrey! We should jam on more Mayamalavagowla, Kaapi/Piloo medleys for our US meet… I love Poonkathavey also. You are the Medley queen here!
To favs, coz you stringed them really seamlessly!
