Awesome, Awesome job Pradip ji n Meera:) Had fun reading the writeup. Yes one of those lovely songs of ARR worst picturised ever. Hero sj surya dances like a female and the heroine dances like male with no naLinam at all.

Meera – Your tone sounded different(ofcoz in a very nice way)probably because of the range. Your expressions were top notch. I cudnt love this song so much becoz of madhushree’s butchering of tamil. Special kudos to u for lovely diction, eventhough you adapted her style of singing which was gud.

Pradip ji – Slightly bolder version of Naresh Iyer, briliant as always. Nice improvisations.

I really got stunned by that initial “mm….mm” from you…. Mmmm….Mmmm….M as in Meera?! Definitely one of your bests Meera. I felt your voice is very thin in this one. You may want to EQ it!

I was not a very big fan of this song. But now I am….after listening to your rendition! Definitely a pro quality. In the first pallavi, I felt the transitions between lines could have been done better (with respect to timing). But, I am not familiar with the original. May be that’s what the song demands.

Overall, this song truly deserves a 5/5!

wonderful is oneword describes it all , mixing is nice loved the clearity and tone of meera cutting through the mix……and its a contrast for Pradips tone kept a bit dull and more ambient…… Meera is your reverb is dynamically kicking in and out ….did you automate to do it or you give it to delay signals only……? Podhihai malayai podhindhu ……that malayai could have been much smoother from as it is now. Great care taken for all those tails….very professional in that area…… 4:33 has a great use of the subtle throat singing ……by utilising proximity effect of the mic this effect can come out in a more pronouncing way…… these are not picks of mine just as a listeners view…….

overall this is very well done track……no doubt about it .

whoever mixed the vocals have a very good pair of ears………

what could I say about pradip depth in singing….immensly loved it …….meera you will hardly sing in muziboo in near future……u have more for industry……my wishes to you

awesome work Meera and Pradip……exceddingly well rendered……somehow could not relate to Pradip’s view of this being one of ARR’S best….but thats just my view……Feels slightly sad that such wonderful effort actually got a bit wasted in the low popularity of the song…

Another song which had excellent orchestration but extremely poor visualisation is Ilami enum Poongatru…….however that song survived on its own……sorry for digressing here….

Never heard this one before, awesome piece of music, it is very melodious, It amazes the way you modulated your voice…. loved it, brilliant singing. Keep them coming.

First of all Meera, I also think that this is your best so far, the higher registers were really good, and initial humming was mind blowing.

Pradip bhai, the higher registers of this song are too high, and you have sung them effortlessly. Loved it throughout. I agree with George :)

Keep doing such numbers. Finally I think I am going to catch the video of this song :)

Although I do not concur with Pradip’s opinion that this is one of the best compositions of ARR, it is one of his good ones.

“uyirai thodarndhu varum nee dhaane meyyezuthu” is a clever adaptation of the metric ARR used in “nEtru munniravil un niththalap poo madiyil” in snehidhane. And with ARR this is more of a sginature where he subtly ‘refers’ to another song of his (which sometimes gets blamed as recycling). The rest of the melody is original.

And there is nothing much to add to what others have already said. Both your renditions are very good although I sensed a slight breaking of Meera’s voice in “medhuvaai medhuvaai nee vaithathu kai” (what stupid lyrics with the same vaanuLLa varai vaazum paadal kaadhal…Absolutely banal stuff from vaali…well what could one expect ?). Pradip’s voice just took all the power and marched through. Sounded abs great.

And Meera : Should you not have corrected both yourself and Pradip with “mayiliRagE” in stead of mayiliRa"hE" (It is not even a word) ? Just a thought.

Murali- I was given to believe by some others that whenever there’s a ga/gae in Tamizh, it’s aesthetically more pleasing to pronounce hae instead of gae, or moreso between both Ha and Ga.

i specifically told Pradip about this. Guess I will note it down for future renditions.

I agree 100% with Pradip about the movie on the intro. part….in fact Surya looked like a ‘clown’ in that song nd every time I watched this song on the TV, I used to pity that guy for his dance movements….but the song is no doubt one of the best compositions of ARR…

Pradip… listening to your song for the first time…beautiful, expressive voice…on par with the original…clean rendition….keep it up.

Meera (no doubt, a gift to Muziboo)…thanx a lot for the clean rendition… yes…the female part was really a flop in that song with madhushree’s rendition (kola pannittangayya)

without dissecting, dividing, analyzing the song, let me tell you that you have sung with the same essence Madhushree has done. The feel of the song is intact and that exactly is why I admire it. Technically speaking, you know more than me as to the flaws you have done. Please improve on your skills as in regard to “closing phrases”….you are one singer who can be fabulous
