Kaakkakkuyile Chollu-An Old Malayalam Classic
Kaakkakkuyile Chollu-An Old... Lyrics & Chords
A beautiful song from the 60’s.
There are some singers who just give you a peek to their brilliance, and suddenly they vanish! Sharanya, who is doing her MBBS is one such singer. I wish she could have sung more or tried to do so. Her voice is innocent but at the same time, different, expressive and shows her sound base of classical music. And she did this with a Rs. 50/- headphone mic!
Song: Kakkakkuyile Chollu
Film: Bhartavu (1964)
Music: V Dakshinamoorthy
Lyrics: P. Bhaskaran
Original singers: K.J Yesudas & L.R Easwary
Covered by: Pradip Somasundaran & Sharanya

Pradip Etta,
Your simple side eh! I loved the way you rendered this song – the movie scenes were flowing in mind :-). The subtle touches you added created a great blend to this song. Saranya is a good pick and has sung well.
I would like to thank you for picking this old gem song. This is one of the best covers I have heard of this song….5/5

Today being Diwali this present was the best I have received … and thanks!. In fact it felt like Pongal and Diwali together!. What would a milky pot exfoliating gorgeous male pearls alongside female honey laden curds sound like?!. Now I know!. Felt blissful for all of 3:45!.

Dear Pradip and Sharanya,
Your rendering of this lovely 1964 song is excellent. Sharanya need to stress some words; otherwise OK. She sings too lightly (also effortlessly, like P Jayachandran in early days)). Pls hear Original by LRE. The immortal lyrics by the great P Bhaskaran was set to music by equally great V Dakshinamurthy. KJ Yesudas and LR Easwary sang to make it all time hit! I am a collecter of old songs (I have something like ~2000 songs, some in video). This duet is especially sweet.
