Waltz into Light

Waltz into Light Lyrics & Chords

Mvt.I Of a story I’ve decided to name,
The Life of the Sunken Sapling.

This story represents the life of a sapling whose home is underground in a dark cove, where only a single beam of light shines on its resting place.

The picture of this piece, is of the sapling beginning it’s life. From falling from the father tree, to entering the dark depths of it’s new home, to growing it’s first leaf.

My explanation, or vision, goes like this.
During the lower register of the beginning of the piece, the scene slowly zooms onto a father tree.

Then, as the higher comes in after, the bud on the tree is revealed, watching it slowly grow to a releasable size

As the melody drives into the actual waltz, the sapling drops, and begins it’s journey to it’s resting place. Towards the end of this section, and on the fermata, the sapling enters a small hole in the ground, continuing to fall.
As the high register is taking place, the sapling is falling elegantly through the darkness, finally landing in a single circle of light.
The sapling begins to grow, and during the section that the mid-register re-enters, the camera rotates down and around the sapling as it grows, stopping at the very end under the
sapling, staring up at the single hole of light.
