A Thought for Peace
A Thought for Peace Lyrics & Chords
I have been working on this piece for a long. I would like to share one of my own compositions which is a compilation of various known shlokas and bit of my own lyrics.
A thought for Peace
Since the beginning of this world there has been times when Adharma has taken over Dharma, when shanti has been conquered over by Ashanti. Not only to the whole era but a phase in human life when there comes a need for him to interfere.
Whenever there is decline of Dharma (righteousness) and rise of Adharma (unrighteousness); To protect the virtuous…to destroy the wicked and to re-establish Dharma, He the almighty manifest himself, through the ages.
He who lives on Venkata mountain, who lives in Vaikunta, who is divinely pure, who has the divine form, carrying the conch and the wheel. He who is worshipped by Brahma, he who has innumerable names and characters, who enjoys music by Narada and Dumburu.
O Supreme Lord, may celestial regions are full of peace and harmony; peace reigns on this earth and in waters. May herbs and trees are full of peace. May all forces of nature are full of peace and harmony. There is peace and perfection in Thy eternal knowledge; everything in the universe is peaceful, and peace pervades everywhere.
O Lord, may that peace come to me!
