Jesus said it best, in the book of John, Chapter 14 Verse 6
And after reading it, well I’ll admit, there’s a lot in my life I must fix
I’ve gotta put God first, and pray everyday
I’ve gotta ask for forgiveness, cuz through HIM is the only way
I want to serve the Lord, all of my days, and give HIM the Glory.
When it comes to love, it’s a funny thing, it almost feels like I’ll never bear a ring
But I know the Lord, has a plan for me, patience is the key
Cuz even though, I’ve let many good girls go
That only means I’ve yet to meet the one who won’t let go
I want to love my wife, for the rest of my life, and give her my everything.
The day my wife tells me, you’re gonna be a daddy, cuz I’m carrying your child
Not sure what will happen first, what emotions will I conserve, I’m sure I’ll laugh and cry tears of joy
Cuz to be a Father, is such a privilege
And to bring a child into this world, would be miraculous
I want to raise a family, a little boy and girl, and watch them grow.
Grandpa fought in World War II, had an Uncle fight in Vietnam, now I feel like it’s my turn
I have a calling, and I’m willing to sacrifice, my life for those I love
Cuz Freedom don’t come free, just think of how life would be
If those who risk their lives, never joined the military
I want to serve my country, the Red, White and Blue, cuz Freedom don’t come Free.
All of this added up, is the life I want to lead, and it means the world to me
I’ve always believed you’ve gotta work hard for what you want, in order to gain what you need
So I’ll keep moving forward, stay focused straight ahead
Until I’ve gained the life, the life I need to lead
I want to serve the Lord, all of my days, and give HIM the Glory.
