Nithya, first here! You have sung quite well. You have used the remix track which is atrocious. The foot drum is a major distraction to your song and its aesthetics. It is like serving a delicious dish(your song) in a dirty platter(the track)-Nithya, I would request you to try this song on its original track if possible.

hi nithya…i feel u are more confident in singin hindi songs rather than tamil…u ve sung this song really well….at some places the karaoke track’s original voice is not properly muted and it slightly overlaps ur voice…if recordin is slighly better this song will be still more good…all d best

Nice try Nithya….Let me start by saying, this is one of my most adored renditions from Ashaji !

Frankly, I think you can do much much better. :)

The “Ada” this song demands is missing. “Jaan” and “Quraban” are the soul and highlights of this rendition. Also, there were some offs especially in the first antara. Also I hear 2 voices throughout.

I love your voice and you tone goes very well with this song.

Great work. The song demands a lot of attitude and u were bang on. 2:38 and 2:53 were tooooooooooooo good. I do not mind slight off-notes but the feel was conveyed very well. They say na in Hindi “Ekdum Gane me Ghuske Gaya Hai”. Thats very right for u here.

Some pointers to work on, the throw of ur voice when u start the antara….It seems that ur vocal chords were straining there a bit….Other than that , it was a treat to listen. I will rate 5/5 for sure and to my favs too……

Nithya ….beautiful song pick. Very good attempt, have to agree with the pointers of Vijay regarding the Ada of Jaan and Quarban. Also the chorus effect spoiled the clarity of your vocals a bit ….but I also buy your perspective on this being a duet….5/5 for attempting this classic…keep it up !

You’re one cool bindaas dudette! yep, the song needs some re-work – agree with some pointers and observations above…. but I liked some of the adas you applied…
Also, track beginning is dragging the same harmonium tune – please truncate that.

Good effort. Frankly; Mixing and the karaoke is distracting often,I couldnt enjoy your singing:-( Hearing earlier songs of yours, may be I was expecting as such. I am sure you can do better than this, cos the tone and nature of your voice really suits to these type of songs :-)

I agree with Smitha on the expressions. Great work in that dept. The high notes had some issues, but marginal. Main problem is the mix, since this is the first time you are mixing in multiple voices. The important thing there is to try to make the voices stand out in a way and yet blend. You can do this by making slight tweaks to pitch, vibrato, introducing slight phase lags etc. You can also try panning. Also the whole k track sounds muffled and your voice sounds sharp. So obviously the two dont blend. You either eq the track and make it sharp or tone ur vocals down. One of the two. The objective is not to make any one element stand out. The track and the vocals should blend. OK I will stop lecturing now :)

Good question Nithya. Yes, I have experienced that issue. Especially when you upload to muziboo. By looking at your downloadable track, it looks like you exported to 320kbps mp3. Try exporting to 128 kbps mp3(44khz) instead. Muziboo reencodes high bitrate mp3s down to 128 and this messes up the track in some cases. See if that makes a diff.

You almost NAILED it this time. With almost i mean, the high notes were almost there….still not smooth as one would like….kahaSEEEE in the first antara, the landings were strained……but dont worry, u sounded as beautiful as always……Personally, I do not like to reupload a song where people have already commented….Reworking on a song does take away the charm but it gives a lot of satisfaction which I think you will be now……

Nithya, though your expressions were very good, I would have liked them to be a little more forceful than weak as the song demands. You have compressed your expressions at many places esp at the places of higher notes eg. where you sing haire it does not give the punch it deserves. Think if you sing it with more open throat than compressing your voice it would be more convincing. Still liked it very much. You have such a good voice.

I think its better than your previous one. I think, some of the off-pitch portions have disappeared. The voice is now well processed and neat. As always you poured it from your heart….! :)

When you do old songs like this, try to warm up your voice to get that analogue recording tone. That will blend you voice very well with the track. Just my 2 cents….

Nithya …heard it again. This mix is pretty good, because of the clarity of your vocals in this one. Also felt the high notes were less strainful this time. You have a very distinct voice, has the Rajasthani flavour in your tone….which will fit all folk songs like a T. This Ktrack is not really upto the standards…

You should try and attempt some shubha mudgal songs….power packed songs like Dol na.

I can only vote once ….but again a 5/5 from me.

whoa !! very good singing !!!!!!! Nithya that was very nice…seems like you really enjoyed the song !! very nice song selection i must guess !! however i would have liked if you had put in a tad little bit of force in the vocals….you kept it quite mellow which is good in its own right….
having said that ….
for a couple of parts you were perhaps 15 cents off….but thats fine….
you should probably try doing the song before putting the effects in and also muting some of the music and you will get it 100% right !
