Time of your life

There is lack of co-ordination between the singing and the guitaring (me commenting as usual…the “perfectionist that i am”) ;)

What are the techniques or tools available if one wants to improve the synchronization. Does a metronome help ?
I have used a metronome before to practice chord timing, but never the sync between guitar and lyrics :)

I liked the guitar work… its a tough song. need to be tighter. good try though.

voice level is low , i can hear the guitar more …

Hmm metronome will help u sync ur beats but for lyrics and guitar ..i guess its all ear tuning.

So did you try recording it again ?

guys always keep mic close to ur mouth around 6-12 inches away and angled and play guitar coz guitar is secondary with ur singing.ur voice is more important.nithya u started nicely but timing went wrong….for those who wants to play in timing can tap thr foot in the beginning coz thts ur own rythm u r feeding ur mind.a metronome is a external rythm u have to adopt and will b better later…try to use a gud mic…cheapest available wud b “shure sm58” around 4-5k.take care…

Arpeggios nicely played. Vocals should be more audible. Missed in sync.
You’re a good guitarist, only that you haven’t done much practice of co-ordination of vocals and guitar. Practice :)

Strumming is pretty decent, though ur guitar sounds outta tune a bit….audio sync is out and qlty of recording is bad…..too much noise…

try recording in a closed environment after switchin off the fans & closing windows…..use a software like NEUNDO/CUBASE/CAKEWALK etc to edit the recording…

u know wat i was listening 2 this “time of ur life” song on the computer this morning, i was like i have 2 learn this song on the guitar, now im like browsing this site 4 the 1st time…
I thot ur guitar work in that song aint bad. I tried 2 sing the song with ur guitar sound as background n it did work well(n I recorded it as well) den i was like i’l let u know abt this.

hey i recorded my 1st song listening 2 ur guitar…Its my 1st go with the mic(without background music) for this song i thot its okie 4 now. Well tell me wat do ya think abt it..because i was little encouraged by ur guitar there.

Guess this sounds like a novice, but, I found it a great sound as the singing came as if part of the guitar sound, and not separate, and I loved it.

Playing a guitar is tough as it is, and singing along while playing it does make it all the more difficult. I’d love to learn how to play a guitar, but I guess it could only be possible in my next life (if any..)
