Group Moderation - Inviting Volunteers!

We have been receiving many requests to make provision in Muziboo for ‘Genre’ based classification that can aid better music and people discovery. The ‘Groups’ feature was introduced for this reason – Groups can be based on anything from genre to language to originality of the creation posted. But this feature at this point is rendered ineffective as a classification tool because the Group administrator/Moderator has almost little or no power and most groups are diluted with irrelevant content. The more we think about it, the stronger we feel that introducing features which empower Group moderators can help in keeping the Groups clean and relevant. This in-turn will not only help in discovery but also in recognizing talents in various fields of music. Broadly, the features to be introduced are
Approving members before joining a Group
Moderating content posted to the group (Having the power to delete irrelevant content)
Inviting Members/Songs to a group
Choosing more moderators for the group
Ability to limit the number of songs to be posted by a user
Making Group announcements.
We would love to see some of you step up and take charge of Groups that you are comfortable handling by volunteering to moderate. You need not possess extraordinary musical skills to be able to do this. If you have the passion to drive a culture within a musical group and add value to the group members with your leadership, step forward now! With your skills you can shape your Groups based on what kind of commenting culture you encourage and what values you envision!
I would be more than happy to work with the Moderators initially who volunteer to make the experience easier.
Looking forward….

Nithya! Would expect yourself and Pratheek to heed to the members’ suggestions and thoughts before implementing this. As Suku has mentioned, we have already incepted a group, rather a band(which will be so eventually) and christened it Kuthu Club. I am damn sure that Muziboo is getting ready to go places and we are not too far from reaching the goal. Would discuss everything when we meet up.
Thanks & Regards,
RAJ

This will result in a talent scan for the best among the good and not a place for ametures music lovers finally end towards to much Inter dependency and personal freedom will be lost. I have no idea about the goals of the muziboo team and the promoters.
No system should create undueinfluence pressure among the user this is just my way of Interpretation.

There needs to be a levels test upon which artist who have a higher level of understanding can dwell. You don’t put grade school with high school students, (mean no offence to any one). Just want to get the most out of my Mojo. Peace
