the way i look @ syd’s singing style on some of his songs
1. get the key
2. stay in the key
3. dont particularly force urself to a particular melody, let the chord drive ur voice
so… wats the deal… u might ask…
4. the way u phrase and group ur syllables while singing a syd barrett song!!
i m not much of a singer… but hope tat helps! :D

I like the song because it has simple innocent lyrics but syd’s voice adds another dimension to it. However I find it really tough to sing it. At one point …. I think where he talks about hippo … i just lose track of the tune !
