Rakesh, Suarjit, Sai… I myself was not v familiar with this song… hardly listen to stuff of this genre… liked the melody so thot of giving it a shot… had a tuff time maintaining the ‘plainness’ of the song though… did my conscious effort make it sound a bit too mellow? I think so as I listen again :( anyway thnx for dropping by and commenting…

Nice work Neha! I liked the vocals a lot… Your voice blended nicely with the harmonies in the track. I also liked your expressions. Your accent was much better too. The only suggestion I have with this one is the line before the chorus ( the high part). You sang in it falsettos at some parts…. I would have preferred if you sang it open throated. Great job overall! 5/5

Firstly am really really very sorry for being sooo late here! As a matter of fact i think i missed your first upload!
You have done a nice work here…….Really liked it a lot….Three things i would like to point out
1. Your pitch could be a li’l higher
2. Sing more open throated
3. Mix could have been better(It takes some time to be easy with this……I am taking a long time…hehe :-))
Now what software you are using? Is it audacity?…….My personal response – It SUCKS dear……I’ve been using this for quite some time and now have switched to n-Track studio 6.0. I generally record n do the wave editing task in audacity still….but mixing goes to n-Track!
Other people can give better advice regarding this!
I give you a 5 on this(Its really simple but not that easy)n definitely goes to my favs! :-)

Supratim… I am glad u liked this enough to give it a full rating and favourite it… yes I am using AUDACITY :P :P and I know it sucks big time :( Thnx for the pointers… I blame a part of the singing not being open throated to the mix… I have seen how drastic the difference is when the track is mixed with the right effects to the voice… this one has no effects atall!! and ya a part to the fact tht i consciously tried to keep the singing controlled and plain… shudnt ve done tht… and ya i shoudve tried to go higher than sing in falsettos, as GK pointed, in the highs… lets c if i can get this re-mixed and maybe i can share it with u agn… mail it across or re-up or sumthing…

Hey I missed something……. EFFECTS in Audacity! Never go for it……. The results gives me goosebumps…… Sounds creepy! Try Sound Forge/n-Track/Cubase!

Supratim , Neha in defense of audacity i can say that it is not as bad as it is made out to be ….i STILL use audacity to mix my songs although i have adobe ! its just that audacity is very simple to use and adobe isnt ! atleast not to me….i recorded my last song using audacity and mix didnt turn out bad at all (cant say about the singing though :-D) ….so moral of the story is either of your mic or sound card or effects that you are using is not right ……for a simple mix just record and mix with echo (delay 0.2 and decay 0.2) …if your connections are fine it will sound good….just my 2 cents :)

Soumitra… I agree wit u… and yes I do not have a mic or any recording equipment for that matter… am struggling to get an external sound card arranged but hell no luck… its not available anywhere in Delhi as of now it seems…
btw about audacity… Yes it is a vry user friendly software… I happened to install Sonar on my comp lately, and the very sight of it scared me off… I have nothing much against the software, infact its a blessing for beginners like me…
the mix cud have made this sound better (effect wise… me can’t say abt the singing either;-))… i have seen how my own songs sounded twice as good when mixed well, to my own surprise! thnx for the echo tip… think i should try that next time… should give some fullness to the voice… Cheers and keep visiting / sharing :D
