A song from Saraswathi Chandra(1968), that needs no introduction. I have tried to follow Lata M’s version,so very beautifully emoted by her. Am very fond of this song for its lyrics, the emotions conveyed and the simple orchestration. Songs from the olden days are always a challenge to cover since the original stays so alive in the listeners mind.

Very good attempt at one of the best songs of Lata ji… You have sung with the righht expressions and feel… Loved it a lot… Just felt a few of the harkats could be more perfect….like at the “chitvan” at the end of every stanza , the harkat at " panchi ki tarah KHO jaoon mein, jo ho teri BAHON Ka etc.,
But thesea re not major flaws when compared to the overall performance…

Hi Radhika, Listening to you after such a long time. Please be more regular than sporadic:) Lovely song pic, one of my favs of Lata ji and you sung it very well. As NVK sir mentioned, very very minute imperfections were there but thats what makes our covers unique and interesting. You have a fantastic voice, I Loved it overall and goes to my favs:)

I like this song a lot, although have not heard the Lataji version too many times. Loved your version – sounded very pleasing and especially liked your voice in this song. The track was a let down but you can perhaps raise your vocal volume up to improve clarity.

Lovely pick, perfect and pleasant listen for the evening, Radhika. Liked your take at it, so pleasant. My nitpick if you don’t mind would be a bit more open-throated throw but you really sound like Ashaji. :-)

Hi…Radhika…. super choice of a song… one of my top favs in hindi songs… and in my fav ragas too… very nice rendition… liked the nascal voice used and the layam overall especially in the 2nd charanam very much… overall a very good work… it may sound easy to sing this when you hear… but singing in the track is not that all easy particularly to fall in the right rhytmic groove,… well done… kp it up…. !!!!
