This one is a karoke done with the background score Sumit supplied in his Arena: Task 01 ...
So this one goes out to Sumit, Geniusoid and Nithya (who insisted that I do this)
I can see only one good thing coming out of this one. This should motivate more people to upload and lower the barrier to entry :)
Must say this is a difficult one to upload .. I was running out of breath on every 2nd line :(
Do let me know whats wrong apart from timing, pitch and lack of energy :)

But musically/frankly speaking…
1. Music Override vocals..(try increasing Mid Frequencing of Vocals)
2. Notes were not straight enough
3. You were winning race with rhythm sometimes…
I would like to listen to ‘GUNCHA KOI ’ on Karoake or if sombody can play guitar for you…these kind of suits your voice…

The pitch and scale aren’t too far away, that’s great. Lacks energy, as you suggested, especially on the ‘wo-ho-oh-ho Sweet Child o’ mine’ bits.
The problem with singing over a karaoke is that you’re bound to the clip’s scale and pitch. Instead, try singing this on your own with a scale you’re comfortable on to pack the right punch.

great attempt buddy..doing any Axl Rose cover needs a lot of courage. i found this distinctive enough and nice passionate attitude. to my untrained ear, the key pitch is a notch low and need more aggro…think of all the girlfriends you had in school and how you miss them. want to hear a retake. great backup music by sumit.

I would suggest folloing things…
1. Try to sing simple songs first with Low tempo….Try to match Notes…
2. One more simple example…Try playing any random notes on a keyboard or Piano & Try to sing that note vocally…you would get practise of singing notes to the mark though they are random…
3. Try to sing with songs playing instrument say Harmonium, piano or anything on keyboard…Instrument won’t create mistake in notes…if you try to sing as well as play…You would automatically try to match notes of the instruments…
At some point you feel something wrong…Practise that lines slowly & try to match each notes with instrument note…
Let me know if you think my suggestions make sense to you…

Prateek, good try. It is really hard to sing a popular hit such as Sweet Child O Mine and for the generations who have been addicted to Axl Rose’ voice would take it so harsh on the criticism part. It is a good try but I would suggest that you try singing some low pitched songs so that you can stick on to the original pitch of the song.

Aha.. I am not sure how I had missed this out.. Great efforts, great song but here are a few things you would want to look into..
* You definitely would want to improve on pitching
* The style was good, but it was totally off the scale
* A few timing issues here and there
What happened in between? Why did you stop? Man!! I was waiting for the last bit where you had to sing totally on high pitch!! This is a great song, I would want to listen to another try from you, or a similar track.. After all, you are in the race too!!
By the way, I donno if all these comments would hold good, as we know that Nithya said “I’m impressed”.. So, you see the bottom line is that the magic worked on the person who you ideally would have wanted to impress.. Does anything matter after that? ;) Just kidding bro.. I know you can sing better than this and I really want to listen to some more!! Common, lets gear up and get the ball rolling.. All the best.. Cheers.. \m/
