Lyrics :

dhuan… hai kyun itna dhuan
hua… najane kaise hua
kahan… hai chali yeh duniya
jalaa.. isme main kyun bhala

kho gayi…hai chaahat kaheen
ho gayi… sabhiko nafarat yaheen
kho gaya…jaise yeh caravan
ro raha…har ek insaan

hogayi… … kaisi yeh aadat
khogayi……..Hai….. Insaaniyat

dhuan… hai kyun itna dhuan
hua… najane kaise hua

main chala…ab duur kaheen
ho jahan… sukuun vaheen
pyaar ho…. aur nafarat nahin
jeet ho.. kabhi haar nahin

hogayi… kaisi yeh aadat
khogayi……..Hai….. Insaaniyat

Khaali the tere haath; jab tuu aaya tha,
Saath bhi apne kuch nahi le jayega
Zindagi mein teri,
mutthi bhar khushiyan;
mutthi bhar gum;
Par jeene ki vajaha phir bhi rahegi… Insaaniyat
Duniyan me aya hai tu
Yeh pyar hai uska
Mat bhool us khuda ko
avtar hai tu jiska
Sikh le bachpan ki khusi ko
Muskura ke jee
Paida hua hai Insaan tu
Insaaniyat se jee

This compilation is very good….Compositions is too good…Prelude guitar is very nice…and last Guitar piece is awsome…Sumit sung it well…better in this one…

But sung it casually which is not good for song’s topic..

Sound processing could have been better…Vocals sounding dry to me…

Sumit Harmonies are good…But Sound Level of Harmony track should be lower than the lead track…else genereally listener would be confused on the lead…

I felt this song was sung in a STACKATO way…which not at all suit to this song in my openion…it just cut the emootions built in this songs…ENERGY was less in singing…I mean this is a very emmtional song and more energy should have been reflected in singing…

@ Shashank..
Glad you liked it. Just would like to clarify that the harmonies have been done by George.
We will work on the processing…

Good job guys. I listened to it 3-4 times. My two bits, IMHO , are listed below.

I liked:

– The simplicity of the chord structure, and yet how it carries the song forward quite powerfully. A GREAT song for jamming.

– The overall message, the theme

– The vocals, overall (especially how the two voices gel together)

– The guitar playing: pretty neat

– How Hindi and Urdu words sit next to each other, like khuda and avtar. Very interesting.

I did not quite dig:

– The mixing in places. E.g whenever the chorus ends (khogayi……..Hai….. Insaaniyat) the lead guitar that follows could have been louder, I thought. The song starts with the lead guitar driving it forward, but somewhere down the road the guitar seems to fade into the background.

– The percussion. Sounds like an auto-accompaniment track.

– How the vocals sound when they start. If the nasal touch was deliberate, please ignore this comment.

– In some places in the lyrics, I found a few words/phrases a bit cliched/shallow in meaning, but I guess I am being over-critical now :)

Keep up the good work…

@Sudhir,

Point is Harmony track should be lower in Volume than the lead one…I would have prefere if sumit would have done the harmonies…We need some sweet Resonance in harmony which I didn’t feel in Harmonies..

all others hv done all technical details….

i will just say 1 thing mixing wasnt good….n the reverb was not good, actually i think tht resulted in decreased clearity of ur voice….

Nitin:
Yea.. the percussions have been recorded thru Yamaha PSR 295 . Glad you liked the overall song.

Sourabh:
Hey..Do you mean that the reverb should be more or less. Please clarify so that it could help us more. Thankyou for taking your time and listening to it.

hey sudhir..

the starting guitar piece is pretty refreshing..a nice change frm the previous effort ..also the mixing of the two voices is having a good effect..

what i feel lacking is energy in the song…its a hard hitting one..and i feel more power and throw is required for the song…
also towards the end..the lead guitars volume can be made a touch higher…it will give more effect..

Hi Sudhir…

Very good song…quite enjoyed. I wont be able to say anything about the technicalities .

Can only say that the composition is very good and the vocals by George and Sumit were also great…

Thanks for giving time to our song guys. We appreciate it.

Shashank & Nitin Thanks for your detailed comments.

This song has received no rating yet, so I guess it requires huge improvement

wonder why we sometimes can’t judge the song right before uploading ? :)

I already see quite a few points being communicated.. Here are my views

About the song:
* Start is good, but I felt it just started from nowhere!! What I mean is, the guitar, drums and piano.. Almost everything started at the same time.. Should have tried some progression there
* I agree with the point made about the guitar fading away into the background.. I would have kept the guitar with light fill-ins in the beginning cuz if you notice, you would see the vocals starting just with the piano, bass and rhythm.. The song is strong.. His voice needs the lift up through the guitar
* From the mixing perspective, we need to understand that this is a song which is supposed to bring the rebel from the inside! So, which instrument would help? Certainly in this case it should be drums and guitar.. Raise the level on the drums.. If possible, use a different snare sound.. You could also use a little distortion to give that rebel and rockish feeling
* Sumit had a little difficulty in the beginning is what I thought.. However I would still say it might be cuz of the vox mixing and lack of support from the guitar
* The vocals are too dry.. Again, it sounds like he is singing in a stone room
* The lead should be played with a better guitar patch, which sounds shrill.. This one is too soft..
* Singing needs more passion.. The feel was less
* I liked the dual vocals.. Imagine a good distortion with muting done on the guitar!!
* Also as he says “Insaaniyat”.. Some delay.. Insaaniyat.. yat.. yat.. at.. at.. (You know what I mean?)
* As it was said, this is a great song for a jam.. In fact I would love to play drums on this!!

Great composition though.. I really appreciate this effort.. Keep it up!! Cheers.. \m/

I second Deepak..Mix Part is really not gud..The drums are dead..Too much of Ambient reverb on vocals.. Pitching need to be sorted out.. The song overall dint motivate me becoz of lesser vocals feel. I disagree with Deepak on ’* The lead should be played with a better guitar patch, which sounds shrill.. This one is too soft.. ’ Dsnt needs to be hard for the motivation. U should listen to ‘KUCH KAR GUZARNE KO KHOON CHALA ’ from RANG DE BASANTI . Less instruments, softer tones, but gud vocal feel and mix shows it all..

Great to see 3 guys collaboration. Unique in its own kind!!
Cheers" alt="" /> !!

Thanks Sunny .. Your comments are appreciated. I have been quite reluctant to try hindi numbers but with this song I felt It was now time to say .. Bharat Mata Ki Jay :)... Need to energise my hindi vocal chords surely.

Sourabh … Thanks buddy , I didn’t sing the song so well and the mixing requires improvement too. Your comments are appreciated. I think its now time you share your hindi karaoke collection with me :). Do you have karaoke of tum bin jaun kahan ? or other popular kishore kumar songs ?

George !! .. where are you man ??.. lets do some more hindi songs together :)

i guess almost everyone commented on the technical details..these are a few details from my end ..
vocals cud ve had more reverb..Sumit sustain the notes for a bit..dhuaaaaaan ..and so on..u ve kept it short..great vocals though…
George awesome stuff with the harmonies…
this song has a lot of potential.. i think u guys and Sudhir shud definitely work on this more..

i loved the music interludes..less notes but a lot of depth to it..all the tones used on the song were just right..the mix however needs to improve..

from a collaborative and compositional standpoint..i ll rate this song 5/5 ..however recording mix is around 3..u guys should take a second attempt at this

the distortion towards the end can go a little..maybe a differnt tone
