Dear friends,
there is been requests to me to sing Hindi songs…
Dear Muzaffar ji you have been encouraging me to sing Hindi songs….you are a very respectable person here in this forum…I cant say anything now….as promised , I have done a Hindi cover ….an evergreen and everlasting song which is also very close to my heart ….I have attempted this great song sung by Mukesh saab in his special voice……Please note I have sung without knowing what I am singing…lol……as you all know by now, mine is single stretch recording….I myself can make out 100 mistakes in this…I am sure people who are Hindi speaking and those who know Hindi can make out 1000 mistakes in this….please bear with me…there is a beginning for everything as they say….so I am investing my belief in that and you all have to bear with it …will do something about it and slowly and steadily improve on my Hindi….hahahaha……
I cant say anything about the poetry of the song…coz. I know nothing of what I sang…lol….

Zabardust Bhai Vinod thank you so much for selecting this great number and singing a Hindi/Urdu song upon my request. This was no easy song to start with as I know it requires tremendous amount of breath plus maintaining the sur taal was a tough job here. Considering it your first Urdu song this was truly commendable. You are almost there already and I have hard time accepting you didn’t knew what you were singing. To me it appears you lifting the Ghoonghat of Urdu (the Dulhan) and with such good care. Man you can sing any Hindi/Song and with time you will forget any issue with diction. You not just passed the test but with flying colours. My Salute to You. If this is what you call Murder then please keep doing that. Loved it in your voice.

@ Tahy Bhai, I am extremely sorry…I should have mentioned your name too for persistently requesting me to cover Hindi songs….In fact the first song “Teri Ankhon” which I posted here few weeks ago was based purely on your request…however my worries on the diction was over ruling the urge to do more….however Muzaffar ji…recently cornered me technically and gave me that motivation to keep doing some Hindi……so let me put it this way….you baked it and Muzaffar ji did the icing!!…hahahaha……thanks a million for liking my rendition……will try more Inshaallah…

@ Muzaffar ji, wow that was a great compliment for me ….yes when I decided to sing this song I realized that it was not pure Hindi and I am trying my attempt with Urdu too….for a moment I thought should I sing this or something else??….then eventually decided, in any case there are going to be diction issues, whether it is Urdu or Hindi it does not make any difference to me since I am ignorant of both the languages……and thus self motivated to go ahead with this song…LOL…….even if you find it difficult to accept my lack of knowledge…the fact remain I don’t know….I closely observed how Mukesh saab takes that note and tried to deliver…perhaps that would have come as a package by fluke with the right diction too!!…hahahaha…. wish I get that lucky streak every time I attempt Hindi songs…hahaha…….shall keep doing more Hindi songs ….will enable me to get bit more confident with diction over a period of time…but shall be uploaded in between…while tamil and malayalam will continue to be my main stream activity….thank you so much for your great compliments once again…feel really charged….:)

@ Adina, that was a huge compliment and when it comes from people like you (those who have Hindi as their mother tongue or always communicate in Hindi having origin and roots from Norther India) it means a lot to me and motivates me tremendously to continue with my experimentations……for sure will sing more Hindi songs…thank you so much once again….:)

Diction is not at all a problem for singing !
You know, great singers like Rafisaab, SPBji, Dasettan, Lataji, Suseelamma & many others have had diction problem which was not at all considered as an issue !
So please do not worry. Just try to stick to the diction as close as possible & GOD will take care of the rest !

Lovely Voice and soulful singing, Vinod ji.
Some minor pitch issues due to the single stretch recording. I felt some sangathis could have been crisper – esp. the ones in the 2nd stanza. But, again considering this is single stretch recording, this is great.

i listened and saw the video 2 days back, but was not able to comment on it…. it was a wonderful one…. u know this is a v.soft song to sing…. but u sung this with soooo much power…. i would say this is not ur kind of songs :)…. u gave the power as u sung Akkarai seemai Azhaginile song…. may be because as u mentioned u dint know what u are singing :D…… but ofcourse there is no doubt that i enjoyed watching and listening to u as ever…. loved it

@Ajay, thanks a lot for he in depth valuable feedback….your are right….perhaps the Background music was at too low volume I guess which made my voice too loud….that is where the help of a good sound engineer comes into play….anyway will learn slowly with my own experimentation….will try some other time later singing it soft…advantage of knowing the language is that…you know what should come soft and what should have the thrust….:)

@Swati, Thank you for the feedback……If I am not mistaken….Lataji’s version of the song is bit slower, while Mukeshji’s version is little fast…perhaps that could be the reason you felt it like rushing….I guess…. nevertheless will look into it in future……regarding diction…I have miles to travel….but I am not in a hurry anyway….not doing all this with any agenda in life….haahahahaha……it is sheer fun and only fun for me….:)

Vinod….cute rendition :) there are some words which you can polish further for diction……esp aisse, khayal, khatir, tujhe …try to bring the ‘H’ sound….great rendition for a non hindi speaking person……with more hindi u will be perfect…your pitching and feel is great….just work on the hindi diction…it will come with time….loved it. I suggested a song to someone on facebook told him that the song would be a great fit for his voice…he recorded and posted….but didnt mention my name……so salute to you for mentioning Naqvi saab….he is a great addition to Muziboo.

This song to me is the quintessential romantic number in Hindi just like EN Iniya Pon Nilave in Tamil.What beautiful lyrics! You have sung it very well. Pointers already provided above so I wont harp on that. I felt hoever, a little softness and feel wouldve taken thhis song up a few notches. Beautiful rendition,neverthless.

@Priya, thank you soooooooo much……for the compliments …….regarding softness yes I do agree….perhaps the background music was too soft and not in proportion to the volume set for my voice …anyway will work on it….regarding feel!! i need to know what I am singing to get the feel….hahahahaha… nevertheless will work on it too……:)

only if the diction like bulaya … nigahein …chaoun and many …. i know it will same like when i am going to upload a kannada song every one will do a lovely postmortem… but i really love ur voice which is with lovely bass and very clear in perfect sur ….
