Hi Friends,
A classic from the movie Panam Padaithavan, sung by the immortal TMS……Great composition, Great lyrics, remarkable rendition by the giant TMS….
…I have made an humble attempt…….I have no power in my voice like this legend. the Karaoke track available with me was also a pitch lower than the original…yet had to struggle LOLs….
As usual it is my single pass recording….you have to use headphones to hear it clearly….:)
In a way I find single pass recording, though challenging, shows us where we are :))) helps us work towards staying consistent throughout the song…a quality very useful when we perform in front of audience……It also makes us understand and appreciate how great these legends are………there is a HUGE difference between being a good singer and a great singer….with lots of effort, a reasonably good singer can turn into or transform into a “real” good singer….but to be a great singer ….you have to be born as one…….though I knew it earlier it is becoming more and more evident when I attempt single pass recording…. no wonder Great singers are born and rest of the qualities n passion comes as a package naturally to them….to me, it is not something that can be achieved!!

@ Srinath, thank you….“legendary Voice”….oh no my friend….‘legends are legends’ they are not created …they are born….anyway I got what you wanted to convey…my heartfelt thanks for you….BTW I have never tried Ullathil Nalla Ullam…it is a great song …I am not a classically trained person…I sing by the ear….that too now after a gap of over 20 years LOL:))))))will try it some other time when I feel I can handle it.
