Inspired by an fb post of a great friend of mine……after commenting on his status, thoughts of my Mom kept lingering….she enjoys this song and always wanted me to sing this for her…and she enjoys it so much…….she is no more……but for sure will enjoy the rendition in my voice as ever being her son……kaakaikku than kunju ponkunju……:)) A great composition and a great rendition by the Titans………this is an immortal song for sure for those who love their Mom!!……my very very very humble attempt on this great song and please try to enjoy it in my simple voice ….

Not knowing a language and trying to figure out is a difficult job….thanks for your description. At times I felt it to be a Bhajan. Vinod you have some caliber to sing, enjoyed your consistency and some harkats you took. This is definitely a tough song but you showed some nice glimpses.

Enna gamagamkkal :-) ! Engayo pogittengo thalaivarey…. One of my very very high favorites…. Yaman Kalyan raag…. As you would know, same raag as Janani Janani (Tamil), and countless gems in Hindi: Chandan Sa Badan, Ehsaan Tera Hogha Mujhpar, Jab deep Jale aana, etc. :-) !

@Srinivasan……absolutely…!!…avarode Amma composition ellam romba azhamaanadhaa irrukkum….adhule oru bayagaramana Vali theriyum……perhaps ellam oru valiyilayum vedhanailum pirantha paattunnu ninaikaren…. you can feel that instantly in his composition….and no wonder it hits our heart so hard it creates a dent in it i guess….it takes sometime to get over it every time we listen to his such compositions….thanks for the compliments on my singing too…:)

You are absolutely right vinod.He forgets himself while singing mother songs.He brings out that emotion like petha manasu,en thaayenum koil,amma naa summa illa da,sondham endru vandhavale aathaa and many more.Thanks for sharing this wonderful song.Nobody can beat him in emotions.

@ Srinivasan, .yes absolutely right….IR goes into a different level of trance while composing on Mother hood of any form….be it human or divine Mother……while he has his magic in all his compositions, but those on mothers, melts us instantly !!
