This was the first song that I had attempted to sing with a karaoke. I had lots of fun singing with a track for the first time. Unfortunalely, at that point being quite clueless about the whole mixing process, I just mixed my raw vocals with the track and saved it. I have been wanting to redo this song for a while and finally did so today. So here goes…. As always your feedback is welcome.
Disclaimer: Though am slightly better with mixing, am still pretty clueless!

Very nice attempt Nandita…Beautiful voice…Nice variation but you r slight uncomfortable in low notes but High notes is very good plus a little more expression and feel would work.:)

Nandita …very good attempt at this catchy song. I thought your expression were all right, but your lower notes needs more tahravat. other than this was a great rendition.

Ahmed, Tara, Paras, Soumitra, Anup, Kuhoo, Harshan and Meena- Thank you so much for taking the time to listen, comment and point out areas of improvement. Glad you all enjoyed it. Have noted your suggestions. Yes, I do agree a few notes were shaky.
Regarding the lower notes- In general, this is the scale/range that I am most comfortable singing. Am not sure why the low notes sounded uncomfortable. Shall look into it :)

I m just going to say this that.This was very good selection of scale/range which u sung infact no strain in higher notes.But this is the fact when we choose any scale and try to sing that kind of song which have already lower and higher notes so the problem will do happen with the notes…Its not a big issue with practice it works…
But i really enjoyed your singing :)

Good singing in terms of tune…. few places were shacky….as if very nervous or just shacking…. Practicing the straight notes can be a great help…. In mixing the voice could have been sharpened a bit more…. The treble of the track n voice is not matching. But great effort. This song has some beautiful memory with my life….n only memory exists…… Keep it up…. You re-vitalized my memories…. Thank you…. God Bless You……

Very well sung!!! At some places u were running out of breath……but other than that loved it! Also, u are much more at ease singing with karaoke now. So u should upload “Mujhe rang de” and “Kesariya” next so that everyone here can hear it….please please please :-) 5/5 for this one.

Shampak- Thanks. The shaking is sort of inbuilt in the voice (more prominent in lower notes)- need to work on it. Thanks for the mixing tips. I only use audacity and the only thing I do for every song is add an echo of 0.2/0.2. Need to experiment more :).

Nandita, superb performance! This is a song which haunts me for its sensuality. Your voice is your greatest asset-I liked your modulations.A slight hesitation in reaching the higher notes of both charanams is all that you have to take note of.

Suhail – Thanks for writing in your frank feedback. As kabir says “Nindak niyare rakhiye, Angan kuti chawai, bin pani sabun bina, nirmal kare subhaiye (of course here the context is singing)”. Your comment would be more useful to me if you could specifically point out
a) the words that need improved talafuz and
b) the places were sur was off.
