Kailasa (pronounced Kai-lash), is an exponent of the age-old Sufi musical tradition, which received world recognition and immense popularity through the Late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khans collaborations with premier western musicians like Peter Gabriel, Michael Brooks and others.
I have tried to sing it in my own style , a little nasal at places to give it little “Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan” like touch. :-)
Here goes my sincere attempt at this very tough but amazing composition.

I am a fan of Kailash, love his songs.
This is one of the most difficult from the lot.
Your Rendition was very good !
I suggest a little more control over the top notes and try to bring more emotion in the song.

Its quite strange that everyone singing this song doesnot change the tempo of the begining part…. Its way too fast than the original makn it more difficult to sing…. I think you have lots of courage to sing this but I think you should concentrate on pitching & modulations in this kind of songs more…. You have the required range for this type of song…. Perfection is the key…… Good try…. Keep it up….

Nice attempt. As Rajesh have pointed out you should also try Sukhwinder’s song.
I am no expert in singing, but here goes, just watch out during the high registers some of notes were off and your voice seems to be stretched struggling to hit the notes. May be if possible try to sing in a lower key.

Sree bhai, I will definitely consider a Rafi song as my next cover. Rafi is like a guru to me. I used to admire and sing his every classic renditions. However, I was a little skeptical to cover his song on this forum. :-)

Its very amusing to me how some ppl have so much problem with Himesh and his nasal style of singing and how they wont miss any opportunity to bring that up…… :-)
I think I nasal singing if used sparingly can do enormous good to a composition. I think its overuse by Himesh has killed its beauty for others.

First of all, what a beautiful voice! God bless ya, mate.
To get critical, there were a few offs. But the feel with which you sang it makes up. Just loved the way you got into ‘Ishq ka jadoo….’. Looked like you took your time to settle into the song.
Liked a lot of the variations you brought into the song.

Had an opportunity to listen to this nice rendition…….very good attempt……and its a very tough song……but i think u have those qualities to do much more better…….and next time try to concentrate more on mixing part as well…. All the best bro
