Shukrataaraa Manda Vaaraa (Marathi Bhavgeet) duet with Adwait Ranade

Lyrics & Chords

Original Singers: Arun Date and Sudha Malhotra
Music Director: Shriniwas Khale
Lyrics: Mangesh Padgaonkar

I humbly present a beautiful Marathi duet with Adwait.
This is an enchanting melody (a Bhavgeet) sung soulfully by Arunji and Sudhaji, about a couple’s pure and unfailing love for each other, and how they want to stay close to each other at all times… I simply can’t aptly express the lyrics so beautifully penned down by the poet Mangesh Padgaonkar.
Adwait has sung so softly and expressively, it was hard for me to match that…but I have tried my best here.
This was surely a tough duet to work on… Thanks a lot Adwait for introducing me to this song, and your patience and help on my Marathi diction, and the tips on its micro-nuances in this…
We look forward to all your valuable feedback!Lyrics and meaning as below:

Somehow I feel the tune resembling to Ghulam Ali’s Ghazal “Raaz Ki Baatein Likhi aur khat Khula Rehne Diya” :-), thus adding to my enjoyment…

Adwait—-One of your Best Rendition,I have heard here……Reason,I felt was,Being your mother-tongue….Word’s were So Effortlessly flowing, with those Delicate Subtle murkiyaan’s & feel……Hardly have Sat and heard a Marathi song for long….But being in Maharashtra,Have Unintentionally Got to Hear a lot of them,You Already know,How it is Here in Mumbai,Esp A neighbour playing Song is clearly Heard Every where haha……

Well An Excellent rendition by you,Infact,I say,you must Often sing them or Upload them….I was Also Confused,As to, when this song was Uploaded,Saw Some Comment’s of a year back….then Realised It was posted Early……Well,Glad,I Could hear it now….

Sudha’ji—You happen to be a Stalwart with Marathi song’s & why not?? Being an Original Mumbaiite ….Sometimes,I feel,I have lacked that part Or Probably missed it….Such Brilliant Compositions,So Classically Based…….Classical singer’s like Arun Date’ji,Sudhir Phadke’ji & So on……Coincidentally,Am working on Some Marathi Classic Song’s Nowaday’s……Probably In few Month’s will prepare few of them….

You have Such a Controlled Vocal’s Where the Song Really look’s Effortless…Regarding the Diction,Adwait is the Right person,But Beautifully & Superbly Supported Here…

You Both Rocked with this Bhaav Geet…

Thanks a lot Jivanji, Judy, Shrutisnayak, Ramesh, Giri Sir and Hemaji for your effusive words of appreciation on Adwait and my effort.

@Jivanji – I would love to hear something in Marathi from you. In fact, have something in mind that will suit your style. As far as controlled singing is concerned, I noticed the same thing for another song I posted recently. I feel it comes from the grace of Rupak Taal. Rupak Taal is almost like a waltzy taal where you have to sing ruk-ruk ke, and even at places miss the Sam, and sing a beat later as done in this song. That brings out the charm, and yes, vocals tend to get controlled for me then. Hope I can try better. :-)
