Shodhisi manava raooli mandiri - Marathi Bhaktigeet

Lyrics & Chords

This song is one of the most popular of the (surprisingly) few Marathi songs sung by Rafi-ji.

For my non-Marathi friends, this is a bhaktigeet (religious song) where the writer says –
Hey human, why you are searching for God in temples? He lives within you! Look around at the marvels of nature. How far can you play this blind game, you will find enlightenment within yourself!

I have tried to render this with some nuances of my own. Hope it’s turned out well!

What a great song pick Raghu ….with beautiful lyrics. Liked your singing a lot……you should work on your mixing skills, add some reverb in your vocals. Atti pratam prayaas ….ye gane ek dum kattin ahyes….rafi saab la jenwa hami aikto….thenwa ek dum swappe wat tho….esp no room for breath…LOVED it.
Interpretation is the revenge of the intellect upon Art ………….Susan Sontag.

Here are some of my interpretations …of originals I love
