At Charanams , i have never felt it was sung by Mrs.Kala Vijay , TO BE VERY FRANK , it was like hearing the song’s redo by Susheelamma in late 90’s (she along with Das sir had done a serious of such oldies with the help of new orchestration in 1996)…….Really chechi , i am so serious on this comment….I bet , others also will agree with my opinion on this song……

i was facing so much problem with the timing issues.so when harshan asked me i sent my raw vocals to him the same day as it was ready.
he was very quick and done a good job.and you know he was so adamant that he told me dont upload any song till i learn the timing issue.

Kalaji….I just love this song very much and had requested a few others to cover this in the past. Especially the mukhda tune is very endearing, heard it first when I was a child and remember humming the mukhda constantly:-) The anthras are very difficult to render due to long stretches….need great breath control.
Regarding the tal issues, I knew it was not your lack of sense of beats but you didnt know where to begin the song and the anthras. The only way is to listen to the original many times and keep a note of it….sorry if I had hurt you in anyways.
It was my pleasure, mixing this for you, I just played with the equalizer so that the high notes dont hurt the ear, and added some compression and little reverb….fantastic singing…your best and one of the best covers of this song I have heard…. goes to my favourites.

Harshan – how can i say thank u for this wonderful gesture of yours? i was feeling bad when u asked me to rework on chand phir nikla as i really didnt know what to do.then u told me i should practice and do not need a teacher or so.i took it as a challenge.
i am not saying i can sing all songs with that timing but i got some confidence to try other songs also.
