My favorite film too for many reasons- one wud be my first experience of watching this movie in a drive-in-theatre called Prarthana, this song so close to mah heart and especially d way its being sung by Shreya Goshal. Nativity can’t be an excuse for diction in this song as even the original singer had to overcome the same. Guess there was a timing issue between 2:45 and 2:49- seemed like u struggled at this portion. Finishing required a lot more effort especially when u sang off note at 5:03. Mixing and abrupt ending didn’t hinder me from being impressed…. The way u sang ‘thagumaah-aah-aah-aah-aa’ at 3:55 was stupendous- I felt ur expression at this point was better than the original. Yes, if u had the same committment through out this cover, it wud’ve been way better. If u had time, pls do revisit this link- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4d6BkUENbo&feature=related -wherein, Shreya was able to reproduce the same feel when she sang 2 lines on receiving the ‘Film Fare -Best singer award’ in 2006. Few things tat admired me were ur feel, the choice of this song and ur sweet cute voice. Special thanks for this song. Hats off Usha ji and look forward for more from u in the future….
