I shud appreciate you for taking up this song and singing very nicely. I know this song is very tough to sing because it requires lots of breath control and I could see that you struggled for breath in the charanams. Also this song is special because the notes rise and fall rapidly and the transition takes place quickly. Neverthless you did a stupendous job. Keep singing :)

Very nice voice and nicely sung. You have mastered the notes of this song well and it came through well. Your classical background sure has helped I think.

Your voice is very nice indeed and is begging to be harnassed a bit more. The original of this song would have been recorded in parts, so the breath issue is no issue in the original song. I commend you on singing the whole thing in one go … albeit you were compromised for breath in the later parts of the charanams. This is not at all a big deal … in fact you should have taken a few more short breaths to overcome that, if you know what I mean.

Awesome on the whole. I enjoyed it totally.

Hi Vidya, Well sung:) Felt it was somewhat flat esp in the pallavi. your volume sounded quiet low, was trying to be vry keen to listen. Some places u have sung the lyrics like sadhana(geethai, vaanalarnthu,thalanrthu) which you cud have vry much avoided.

I must admit I thought this was a gimmicky song when I heard it for the first time. But, it grew on me. And after 10+ years Sadhana finally made peace with tamil and what a voice she has. It is one of the staple songs with my Iyengar friends.

You don’t have to fear Tamil Vidya. You are at ease of course barring the fleeting possibility of “maNavaaLanE” (groom) becoming “malaivaazaiyE” (banana) :) Cheers !

Fantastic singing vidya. It is a very tough song but you sounded awesome all through and maintained the tempo of the song. As you mentioned, even I’m not a fan of this song but I do happen to hear it once in a while coz my daughter likes it. I think there is some majic in this song. Any song that gets liked by the kids has some sort of enthu in it and whenever I happen to hear it, I hear it fully. I think the main reason is Sadha Sargams soulful voice. This song suits you very well and there were some parts of Sadhna visible in your voice too :)

EXCELLENT Singing I’m giving 5/5 for your great efforts. The pointers are already mentioned but I feel you’ve given full justice to this song.

Sorry for not having scribbled anything in your space at all hitherto. First and foremost reason being my unquenched thirst in listening to the renditions posted in Muziboo. So I was keen listening to songs rather acknowledging the works. And next comes my time. I keep myself engaged in writing most of the time. But now have forgone my writing endeavors after listening to the posts of the talents flocked together here. I assure I will try my best in bringing out the talents to light putting forth my maximum of efforts. And now a few words about this cover.

*Little Dew-drops of Celestial Melody* I can refer this rendition to these words. A song which flummoxed me after having come out from a Composer like Himesh. I definitely don’t mean that he is incapable or I don’t have the guts or stuff to comment/criticize such a composer who has already incited an effervescence in the cine-music with his peppy numbers. Its the creator’s victory for having tapped such a number from Himesh. Nice & soothing to listen with my headphones. Superb rendition. And of course, you do have a problem with the mixing. But I feel, the mixing alone is not gonna improve the voice, which is the soul of a song. And i can feel how good your voice is. Heart-throbbing tune and a mesmerizing voice. I personally felt there was a minimal feel imposed to this song while rendering. Mind the situation of this song as in the movie. The gal sings in a festive occasion of Krishna Jayanthi praising Lord Krishna and also craving for her guy. ;-) I understood it so from the video of the song. And a few gasps here and there could have been overcome. *Excited to see someone recording songs in one stretch. And I do follow the same and the gasps are evident in my renditions as well. Lol* It helps you a lot actually. Regarding the diction issues here, I would say, *’No one is perfect. Thats why even the pencils have erasers* You have showered us with sheer joy through your singing but diction should have to be considered. Diction gives the required meaning to a song and hence etches out the required colour and genre to the song. My opinion is to have a thorough understanding of the song with the meaning and then to go with the song and further recording. I shall take this chance to request you to learn the words and their pronunciation prior to recording. Hope u would surely take up this as we can enjoy ourselves further.

Am appending one more to the number of votes cast here & an increment in the number of my favourites would hint u what I have done. ;-)

Actually one of the very very very few songs I adore Himesh Reshammiya for having composed!! I ws taken by surprise when I heard this song and when I was told it was composed by him! One of my favs…
