Malaiyil Yaro Manathodu Pesa

Lyrics & Chords

Yet another gem from the maestro. The song that brought into light Swarnalatha’s true potential and she went on to win the National Award for the Best Female singer.

This is a song very close to my heart and was my debut song on stage. It paved way for my professional singing, 15 years back. I did struggle with the high notes this time and still feel some notes are off in the first charanam. While I am well aware of it, my urge to sing and present this to you did not allow me time for perfection. Kodana kodi nandrigal to Sowmya ji who transformed my voice with her mixing skills. Thanks a lot for your patience!

Looking forward to your comments.

I was waiting for some IR fan to cover this beautiful song from a long time….:)
Very nicely sung…
nice voice, and good expressions….
agree with your write-up on the high notes…:) felt slight slips in most of the ‘Nenjame’, but the one at approx 4:00 was very very nicely done….
few of my latest –
Akkadannu naanga – Indian
Vaan megam – Punnagai mannan
Minsara Poove – Padayappa

Whenever a melo number of Swarnalatha progresses, getting looped, it is inferred that serenity is getting nigh to us…

This particular number from the movie, ‘Chathriyan’ still haunts us…. A bonanza if the video gets telecast – for the awesome singing by Swarnalatha and the gorgeous Bhanupriya… He he he…. Comments la unmaya thaaney sollanum…. And the theme music, whenever our Captain Vijayakanth stalks to kick the hooligans is awesome and fresh till date…. And it is the ring tone customised for calls from my dad’s number in my mobile… ;-) Ennamaa paadi irukkeenga!!!!! Paeythanamaa irukku…. A tune lofted to high registers and very difficult to reproduce… I would definitely require 2 bottles of water to render such a song… And the most enthralling thing was ur control over the higher notes delivering them with the actual softness as imparted in the original song… You have captured everything and presented this rendition with all the nuances intact…. Your caliber is adorable and stunning… Keep up the good work… Thanks for bringing the video of the song for a while…. ;-)
Thanks & Regards,

Music is what our feelings sound like….
