dear friends,
i’m back to Muziboo after almost an year! sorry for being cut-off from you all for a long time. due to certain priorities in life i was not been able to dedicate much time for my favorite hobby :(
here is the new (yet old) song, originally penned by Sreekumaran Thambi Sir, composed by Arjunan Mash and sung by Desettan for the movie ‘Picnic’ and redefined lately for ‘Nayika’. a timeless classic!
having both the versions mixed up in my mind, honestly i don’t know, whether i was following the old style or new style. you probably can take it as my ‘interpretation’ of this song :) it’s slightly faster, as i couldn’t get the minus track of the new version.
i thank Monu for sharing the minus track.

Jose, good to listen to you after a long time. As always, clarity of the recording is superb and its a very well balanced mix. Liked your take of the classic despite the tempo being faster and a few variations that you have done. At the high portions and few other spots, voice was a little rusty/strained. Since you do not normally have a problem there, must be bec you havent been very regular at singing and recording. So sing and share more often :-).

your remarks are absolutely correct. it’s true that i had strain in high areas during the recording. in fact it was done in a bit hurry as i had no uploads for long time and i’m going for my X’mas vacation. i also feel the beginning of both ‘anupallavi’ & ‘charanam’ were sounding bit ‘beamed’. anyhow i got the new version minus from Aneesh and i might re-upload it once i’m back from the vacation.
