This is a song from Vasantha Geethangal (1984) which was one of the most successful and popular non-film albums in Malayalam. Composed by the legendary Raveendran, the song was originally sung by KJY. The album featured several beautiful songs by KJY, Chithra & Jayachandran. The other popular songs from this album included Mamaangam, Valampiri Sankhil etc.
Have attempted this song which was rather challenging due to the complex lyrics by Bichu Thirumala.

Liked the melody, sounds like a tough one wrt the sangathis, and your voice as always is a perfect fit for this genre!
You warmed up considerably in the anupallavi and beyond. Pallavi sounded a little flat at places (anname-1st time, pogaiyo-both times I thought) You might want to check it again… Ofcourse these are just nitpicks in another awesome attempt!

I think this sounded like Bhoopalam ragam to my ears!. (early morning raga). Hey you did well Kumar … loved your voice. Real tongue twister in terms of lyrics especially in the charanams … you did well there I thought!. Very good overall and real good voice quality and overall mix. Hey one thing that I thought of was this … you need to be more emphatic and open in places and go for it Kumar!. Felt like you are holding back a bit especially in the charanams. More boldness would have been welcome. I liked it a lot overall. Ways to go!.
