It is my pleasure to have completed this beautiful number with Kaushick(who is already an established Singer on Muziboo).
Originally sung in the evergreen voices of Rafi Sahab and Lata Ji under the composition of Laksmikant Pyarelal,this number won our hearts
from day 1.
It was a challenge to work with the K track … which besides being very noisy, also had an inconsistent tempo throughout and both of us had to frequently adjust our singing tempo to match the track… the end also had to be modified as the track varied from the original…We were fluctuating between ecstasy and frustration as we kept on sending our vocals back and forth to each other.We have spent hours talking about improving our techniques so that other aspects would be
negligible.
We want to thank Babu Nm ji for his willingness to mix this at very short notice, particularly at a time when he was away for a while from Muziboo.Thanks @ Nm ji for waving your magic wand over this mix to make it such a beautiful one.It has indeed added great value to the project.
Thank you Kaushick for being supportive,wonderful and understanding about this whole process.You are my main inspiration behind this wonderful number.
Again this is a small dedication to all those who have been ’Khafa khafa" with me lately.!!! :D

Maar dalogey kya? Awesome expressive singing, Sarmi and Kaushick.
Sarmi – you rule in the expressiveness department – has anyone told you you sound like a Chulbuli KK.
Kaushick – nice Rafi touch. But the lazy touch was a bit overdone at places, I felt.
Minor latency issues at places, I think could be fixed with some mixing…

Sarmi, got back home and I just listed to this rendition as promised. Now I am off the “Khafa Khafa” list.
@Sarmi, u were good in expressions, nothing new but u sang it quite well too. Agree with Khan bhai’s pointers but barring them u did very well.
@Kaushick – Good singing. Expression were good but agree with Sudha Ji that it was overdone at places. Diction flag too. What is akhadiyan??? at 4:28 i guess:)
Mixing – Babu Studios is doing a great job but was not impressed with the mix much. It was good but not that great which is what u expect from Babu bhai. Echo was too much and ur vocals would have done much better with more reverb. Echo is not the solution of all songs. Mix varies with different songs:)
Overall, barring the mixing improvements, I will say the singing was good to over power the mix and earn good points in my book.

I appreciate your thorough listening and wouldn’t agree more.But when it comes to Mixing,I will have to disagree completely.The condition of the track was horrible.To clean the track and bring out the proper vocals from it was not only a challenge but a time consuming effort too.I am always thankful to Nm ji for sparing his valuable time and making that effort worthwhile.

You both have won on feel department. There was obvious latency at couple of places which is not a big issue, but added echo was really disturbing.
Looking at the Track quality I think mixing job has been done wonderfully. Sarmistha and Kaushick I would say bravo on this tough pick !!! Loved it !!

Wonderful performance, with definite hard work behind. Have read some of the pointers mentioned and I find senseless to put them again just to show off. The only thing that has really come to me first, was the scale, which was lowed enough to take away from the song’s spirit. Sorry if this has been told before. All in all, a very enjoyable cover with lots of feel and apt expression. Sarmistha, Your soothing voice is a real treat. Kaushik, great job.

I just want to point out that although the K-track was a real nightmare, the scale of the Karaoke is same as the original… regarding the tempo, the K-track while being jerky and highly inconsistent, is actually faster than the original…
